Now that several SU-35's has been shot down over Ukraine. The Americans and her allies now get to study the fighter jet and her subsystems up close.

The main job of the Su-35 in PLAAF service is to 1) perform long-range escort for H-6 bombers (but J-16 can gradually take up this responsibility now); 2) to serve as blue force for mimicking IAF's Su-30 MKI fighters, which will remain the backbone of IAF's fleet for decades to come

You realise that China couldn’t care less about keeping the radar signature of the Su35 secret right?

One of the main uses of the Su35 in PLAAF service is so that they can cut loose with using its radar in peacetime intercept ‘games’ without risk of exposing wartime operating signatures of domestic Chinese radars.

Besides, as others have already pointed out, it’s incredibly unlikely that anyone would be able to pull anything worthwhile out of those wrecks.

The RQ-170 landed more or less intact. And in the case of the F-117 it was useful to examine the materials used in the structure of the aircraft like the airframe and the radar absorbing paint. Knowing those characteristics would help them refine a radar model of the F-117. It is quite clear the US thought the design was compromised since they removed it from service shortly afterwards.

What I saw of those Flanker wrecks would provide little data on the most relevant aspects of the Su-35 like the avionics or radar. You would be examining little broken pieces you got with tweezers.

@xyqq, @Figaro, please don't interpret this as evidence of Chinese plasma stealth technology. :D
