At no point was there any disruption where the PLAAF went back to the AL-31 for the J-11 except for the J-15 which always used the Russian naval version while the corrosion resistant variant of the WS-10 wasn't considered satisfactory or wasn't ready, whichever that was.
And now the latest batch of J-15 fighters (J-15B) is using the WS-10 ... the Taihang has truly come a long way :D

J-11Bs with what looks to be WS-10 engines

Other than the very first batch of J-11B, all other J-11B/BS are equipped with WS-10 engines. Actually scratch that. Recently they reequipped the first batch of J-11B with WS-10 as well after the original AL-31 engines exceeded engine lifespan.
