Are there any plans to upgrade the J-11A?

They've already had an MLU in the early 2010s to keep them flying.

But the small number of J-11As and the fact that they weren't using Chinese avionics and weapons to begin with, coupled with their much older age, means it wouldn't be worth it to upgrade them.
A similar rationale probably exists for the MKKs.

The Russian origin Flankers are probably worth keeping around until they literally run out of flying hours, and upgrade them moderately with some EW pods, maybe some self defense sensors (MAWS or something), and integrate some domestic weapons if feasible (e.g.: PL-12s onto MKK/MK2s), but giving them AESAs and compatibility with full PLA weapons suite is likely not worth it.

If true, then this is another major news. Not only that it shows for the first time a PLAAF J-11BS with low-visibility marking, but even more surprising is the new and so far unknown missile it carries under its wings.

IMO this is most likely the long expected new ARM.

Possible, but a little odd to me as the new ARM was said to be based off PL-15, and that J-20 would seek to carry four ARMs internally of that type.

The wingspan of this missile obviously would preclude that internal carriage, unless there is a smaller wingspan variant.

More importantly, giving J-11BS a DEAD role is.... not massively surprising, but still a little bit odd given there are other aircraft where that role might be more appropriate first.

That picture looks like it has been Photoshopped to hell and back.

In what way? I agree it is surely psed in order to hide certain details but I don't think it is a faked one?

By the way, it comes from the latest 2020 PLAAF pilot recruiting video (at 0:30)

Interesting that it looks - at least in general configuration and size - comparable to the new Indian Anti-Radiation Missile RUDRAM.

The sharpness level doesn't add up. The lighting looks off. The large missile in the left wing in particular looks like a blur on the bottom.
I can't access the video because I don't use Facebook anymore.
I guess it might just be compression artifacts but as a still picture it looks fake to me.

CM-102 adopts a similar configuration, but the new missile doesn't really match any of them.

That said I also agree with geloog, the missile on the left side of the picture (aircraft's right wing) does look a bit weird.
I'm unsure if the picture is fully real or what we are looking at tbh.

Agreed. The low visibility insignia and the missile are CG. Even the red stars on J-20 are CG too!

So think the whole sequence is faked?
IMO not, it surely looks blurred, manipulated and eventually censored and i agree that there is a stupid/confusing mix of real footage and CGs but the J-11BS taking off is IMO real and as such that missile too.
