Even if I really don't get it: unguided rocket pods under a Flanker !!???

Anyway, I've never seen these practice bomb dispensers under the outer under-wing stations.

I suppose if the satellites ever go dark enmasse, then warfare reverts to Vietnam-era where unguided munitions play larger roles. Not a bad idea to practice unguided strikes in any case.

Does China use or have any plans to use their Flankers to deliver nuclear weapons like the Americans and the Israeli's do with their F-15's ?

Extremely unlikely since Chinese nuclear policy is to treat nukes as last resort strategic weapons rather than tactical alpha strike weapons, as the likes of the US and USSR did since they he Cold War.

China has a very small nuclear arsenal dominated by high yield strategic warheads. What tactical warheads it does have would be primarily deployed by cruise and shorter ranged ballistic missiles, rather than freefall relying on deep penetration strike fighters.

In that sense, any Chinese asset able to deploy Chinese made long range cruise missiles should also be nuclear capable.

New photos from Weibo. Apparently a new batch of J-11Bs have been produced, either to replace aircraft lost in accidents or a new batch to equip more units pending the J-11D's arrival.

Can anyone confirm that the green parts are composites like the J-10C? If so, it seems most of the tail section is how made of composites.
