To admit I don't know for sure ... all I have is; given are the dates of their first spotting :

1601 - 30. August 2012 (maiden flight 17. October)
1603 - 15. June 2013
...
1612 - 21. February 2014
1613 - 11 May 2014

... these are all confirmed prototypes + preserials I know. Confirmed Serial birds are not known so far ... until today.

Oh was my number too high or too low? Think about 10-15 J-15s with about 5 of those being serial models

There are six prototype J-15 single seat aircraft verified (551-556)

We have seen eleven Production aircraft (100-110). We saw production aircraft 110 on he factory floor being completed in March of this year.

So we know that there are seventeen single seat J-15 aircraft flying, six prototype and eleven production birds.

My guess is that 3-6 more production birds are being built at any given time, and maybe one or more of them have already been completed.

We have a complete thread about the J-15 on SD:

HERE, THIS THREAD

You cans see production birds 100-110 staring at the following post, and the one right after it:

HERE

You can see production brid 110:

HERE

Take discussion about the J-15 to that thread
