I will pay a visit and get myself a model or two. I made a Su-27 model when I was in college, but never got the patience to finish the paint. I still have it, but it's still "naked". This time, I will finish it...
Yes, Vesicles! Do it. Heck, maybe you can arrange to meet Equation over there!

You may well find a J-20 there too...J-10S, J-11B, etc., etc. I like 1/72 scale myself. The new 1/144 scale are nice, but too small for me, and the larger 1/48 and 1/32 scales just take up too much room, though their detailing is very nice.

Let us know what you get.

Great, always good to have another modeler brother in arms! LOL!

But, I think I have pulled the thread off topic enough with the discussion of models...though to begin with it was about the J-15 model.

Anyhow, great luck and fun with your modeling. it can certainly be a great hobby, and a good stress reliever...a great way to work on something fun, while your subconscious tackles the other problems while you are doing so.

Back on topic then!

Here are some production J-15 pics again, perhaps they shed some light.

BTW, Deino, I got your book today. I went home for lunch and was surprised to find it had already arrived. It was early (it was supposed to come on January 27th). You almost made me late getting back to work!

Extremely well done! I am very pleased with it. Absolutely the best definitve book on modern Chinese military aircraft, their weapponry and their order of battle available. I will spend hours going over it and digesting it...and then will regularly refer to it in the future.

Now, I can hardly wait for a couple of years to go by and for you guys to come out with an update so I can get just as good info about the J-15, the H-6K, the J-20, the J-16, etc. I mean seriously, once those aircraft are in production and in the order of battle it will be great to have an update with them as a part of the book. Will you put out such an update in due time?

What's the book called, how much and where can you order it?

By the way if You like this book on the Orbat and are interested in "J-15, the H-6K, the J-20, the J-16, etc" then You need to take a look at my second book:

http://www.sinodefenceforum.com/mem...ing-dragons-wings-andreas-rupprecht-6366.html

Here the history of the individual aircrfat types and to my pleasure since it is a special interest to me - the "Secret Projects" like the J-9 to J-13, H-7, Q-6 and VSTOL-projects too.

Regarding the way to purchase ... I think any fine local "dealer" will have at least the possibility to order it, otherwise surely AMAZON.com/.co.uk/.de/.fr/ and even in China (the Dragon's Wings)

For the book publsihed by Harpia this list might help:
