Anyone who has followed China's development for a long time should know the nature of Chinese society and CCP. And If you know the nature of Chinese society, Chinese mindset and the nature of the CCP, you wouldn't worry about China's birth rate.

CCP has already promised in their highest policy documents and long term plans that they have a goal of making China a rich country equal to Japan. and the west They will do whatever it takes to achieve it.

If China's population and demographics becomes such a problem that it effects China's chances of getting there by 2049, then you can bet confidently that CCP will do whatever it takes to solve it.

China hasn't even removed the restrictions of no more than 2 children yet. Its cause many Chinese actually feel their country is too crowded and too poor. There are still 40% of Chinese people who in villages in bad conditions. Those people will continue to migrate to cities until China reaches 80%+ urbanization just like other industrialized countries.

China will continue to slowly increase retirement age which is too low at 50 for women.

So urbanization and retirement age increases will provide China plenty of labor to fuel their GDP growth.

In the meantime, China will start the real tough measures to raise birth rates.

Think about one child policy but in reverse. During the one child policy era, anyone that had more than one child basically became pariahs. They lost their promotions and sometimes jobs. They had to pay very high fines. They got shunned by their neighbors. CCP propaganda made sure that having more children was seen as a terrible taboo.

China will just do the opposite this time. Childless or people with only one child will increasingly find themselves having a tough time in their jobs, society and may even face heavy taxes or fines. China will create such a propaganda that anyone that doesn't have a child will be seen as freeloaders or not performing their duty.

People have a natural inclination to give more births. It is in our DNA as evolutionary animals. So, encouraging births is not that tough.

And btw, anyone thinking about how it is really expensive to have babies should look at slums in Africa or India. Many of them live in terrible poverty but still have have 3-4 children. They do not find it expensive. So, why would rich and educated Chinese find it expensive. Its just their society has been oriented towards a mentality that discourages child birth and makes it seem too tough.

CCP will change that mindset through their coercive action and propaganda. Very soon no one will think having 2-3 children is all that tough.

No rich and developed country has ever solved the issue of low birth rates. But China will solve it because of the nature of their society and CCP, which singularly focused on getting rich and powerful.

I meant off-topic bickering as in "Indians are naturally lazy" or "genetic nature" or whatever racist cliches some of you (not all of course) are propagating. Of course, you can discuss what the CPC should do to remedy this, that would be relevant to this thread, but please do not get into xenophobic off-topic chatter about other countries or nations.
Care to quote them?
Its a different matter if Indians being naturally lazy and posters here are being xenophobic is all that you inferred from the last few posts.

Then its a you problem. Nothing off-topic was discussed at length. And Xenophobic? Where exactly?

Please do read and comprehend.

"Except the Indian are more like 935. They make look like 996, but they are probably working like 6 hours a day for 5 days. With all the problems the Indians created with their out sourced effort, it seems that the Indians create more problems than they solve."

It's very clear this comment implies that Indians are lazy and inept, which is pretty racist. Go back to page 34 if you would like to see more treats.

Anyhow I will not engage in this anymore.

Nope. That's not racist. That's merely faulting the state not people.

( I haven't ever read Indians being of a particular race btw)

Good. Back to topic then.

I suspect you are right, if the CPC finally decided that enough is enough and they tried combating the low Fertility rates then lol.

I can just imagine the Western meltdown for "muh Human rights", it will be glorious

I sure hope you guys are right. My fear is that the CPC will do nothing or just make some noises about considering some pilot policies in Manchuria, which inevitably they F up and incite a backlash online from.

A valid concern.
The CPC certainly has a tendency to bury a policy in a long quagmire of "pilot policy, pilot in a special zone, reports, studies, consultations etc".

Watching chinese cities packed with 50 floors residential buildings do you have the impression that a population decline will be a major problem for china?
China still has lots of room to grow. Done forget they still have a relatively low rate of urbanization. A significant share of its population is still rural
