Why Shilao podcast saying something is quite secret/confidential information?, is it something that China/PLA want that information out ?
Sometimes you do want your enemy to know that you stick is both strong and sharp.

Also, I do think the US military knew before as well (or atleast in private the upper rank knew).

and they too thought it looked like a ROCN harbour, although they didn't give any exact name.

One of the thing they pointed out was that that indeed if this is to simulate attacking ROCN surface units at port in the opening moments of war then DF-21D or DF-26B are not required, just regular SRBM with good CEP could do the job, similar to how Tochka-U took out that ship in Ukraine. If that was the case then the two dark patches on the destroyer target seem to match the location of the ship's turbines.

The meeting was also an opportunity to broach a subject of intense concern to Washington: Riyadh’s growing relationship with China. In addition to Burns’s ask on oil, the CIA director also requested that Saudi Arabia not pursue a purchase of arms from China, according to the two sources close to U.S. intelligence.
Not really a surprise though is it. This would be the 3rd batch of ballistic missiles Saudi Arabia have purchased from China if it turns out to be true.

China developing a nuclear sea-launched cruise missile??
Highly likely to be bs story from US Navy. Everyone knows it is just US Navy want to keep their nuclear SLCM project.

Nuclear cruise missile means nothing. At the end of day you won't actually press the button, why won't you waste VLS cells on nuclear deployment? It makes absolutely no sense to deploy nuclear cruiser missile when they cut nuclear ballistic missile on SSBN. If they really want more nukes under the sea, then just bring back those ballistic cells instead.

They are talking about tactical nukes, the US will soon have to resort to their use if they don’t want to lose a war with China. The US will need thousands of them, and consent for their manufacture (and use) must be created now, if they are going to have them in time. Russia makes a great “useful idiot” in this case.
