Sorry my friend. I spoke with relatives in the Ministry of Defence and they said that this is not to be a credible report. They are trying to force the President to buy the KAI FA-50 by thinking of going Russian.

More disinformation. I do not believe this news report in the Spanish version of Sputnik news to be credible. However, I am posting it for entertainment purposes:

Russia announced that Argentina wants to buy more than 15 MiG-29 fighters Argentina intends to buy more than 15 MiG-29 fighters from Russia, Anatol Punchuk, deputy director of the Russian Federal Military Technical Cooperation Service (FSVTS), told Sputnik. "Argentina sent a commercial offer to acquire in Russia more than 15 MiG-29 fighters, we are preparing a response," said Punchuk.

It would not surprise me to see the FAA buy second hand aircraft. That has been standard practice. However, second hand Soviet era aircraft is not the best way to go. Peru has had a difficult time with its used MiG-29 it purchased from Belarus. Mostly because of the difficulty obtaining spare parts.

The new Squadron of Unmanned Aerial Systems of the Argentine Air Force
The Argentine Air Force (FAA) has created a new specialty and, at the same time, a new Squadron in its structure.
Six new operators carried out the Course of Operators of Unmanned Systems (COSANT) in the School Group of the School of Military Aviation, obtaining the technical and operative capacities to be the new members of the SANT Squadron or Squadron of Unmanned Aerial Systems of the institution .
The Air Force has been working for several years in the development, evaluation, integration and adaptation of UAV systems, a methodical work that sometimes seems slow and that seeks to obtain the knowledge required for real-time and practical operation of high Technology on the battlefield.
Appealing many times to the own production and the one of national developers, it begins by the instruction and training of specialists and technicians who are going to operate these systems and components. Under these guidelines, the FAA has created a new specialty because it believes that only highly trained and trained personnel will be able to conduct operations in "highly changing war scenarios and dealing with superior technologies under the theme of" Project Capacity Without Vulnerability "
