Hi guys, i watched some TikTok videos showing poverty in rural area in China. The clips usually show some kind people who buy farm produces from elderly, young children , disabled, etc. Then they usually gave new cloth, shoes, meat, bags of rice, or, some money to these underprivileges. I wonder if those videos were staged to get likes or viewers count on tiktok? I asked my colleague from China about it. he said mostly are real case. He said most districts didn't receive funding from central government to help the poor. Is there any group or initiative in China to help all the poor people in rural area? It will be nice if there's a crowd-funding in each rural area. The crowd-funding help the poor by providing job opportunity, a proper channel to sell, schooling support etc. More like to help and teach them to fish; rather then feeding them fishes

I commented on a popular fanboy video channel on Youtube. I know some of these types of channels have giveaways. So I notice after 15 minutes I get a reply message from the channel that they've chosen me for a free gaming console and I need to enter a number they've given me to use on WhatsApp. Does anyone know if this sounds legit? I'll have to download WhatsApp because I've never used it. Thanks.

I was nearly stiffed once. Two to three years ago, I posted a comment on a Youtuber's upload about the latest DJI's drone and I got a reply that I was selected as the winner of the DJI drone. The poster bore nearly the same name as the Youtuber's. As instructed by scammer, I replied by Telegram and he asked me to pay for the transport charges for the drone that was to be delivered by UPS, I think. However, there was no way to make the payment at the courier's website as I needed something like the dispatch bill. I reverted to the scammer with my problem but he kept asking me to pay for the transport charges.
That was when it dawned on me that he was hoping for me to suggest paying directly to him. Just for over USD120.
I deleted the conversation and informed the Youtuber.
In my life, I have hardly ever won a prize, so I was too easily tricked!

Scammers/Spammers makes account that look like the "youtuber" to reply to comments.
There are, but not many, and most of these groups are small and rarely noticed.
Because the biggest poverty alleviation institution is the government.

As for tiktok videos，take a look at who the uploader is，some of them are kind people, and some of them are professional actor.

@dxq4412 , thank you. I watched the documentary , No Poverty Land on Youtube. The videos are really good. The HK lady interviewed many locals to get clearer details. Very impressive to know how the government support the people. And, also how the people are united to make their place better. I believe an authoritarian governance like China surpass democracy when the leader himself such as Mr Xi., is prioritizes on people and country. He's an outstanding leader that China needs. Majority of the leaders are money-oriented. I did shared the Youtube link on my Facebook...hoping that more people will get the right idea or approach to make this world a better place. I wanted to share on TikTok or Twitter too if only i can download the video files. Apparently i need to subscribed before i'm allowed to download. haha
How did this based twitter poster get the China state-affiliated media badge, does the 战忽局 (Strategic Fool-You Agency) really pay a person to shitpost on twitter? Isn't that the dream job for some on SDF?
