How long(estimation) will it take for the QBZ 191 to fully replace the QBZ 95? Thank you
It is hard to say. 9 years ago the Type 81 was spotted with a rail system in the hands of PAP special operations officer:

Plus, to this day, many soldiers and officers are still using the old version of the 95 rather than the 95-1. However, we have to remember that the China of the past is different from the present China since they are now focusing more on quality than on quantity. So it is hard to set a timeline for the relegation of the 95 series and 03 series rifles to reserve units or armories. To answer your question, based on the past, more than a decade for sure. But if we take in consideration of the PLA’s current trend, 5-10 years. As for the PAP, more than a decade since they usually buy their own gear or receive hand me downs from the PLA (except for top tier units like the three Commando units).

What is the status of the Type 095 (SSN) and Type 096 (SSBN) submarines? I have noticed zero updates for a considerable timeframe. Excuse me for my bad English.

The Chinese built huge nuclear submarine construction facilities. There were reports on a quiet propulsion system for them a couple years back. There were some small models. There were also reports of a sailless submarine design. Then huge silence. We will probably know more once the submarines come out in a couple of years. The Chinese typically don't report all that much on the nuclear submarines and the facilities are pretty much all covered up as you would expect from what is technology used for the nuclear deterrent.

I remember that someone was describing how the expenses for internal security are distributed in China, e.g. for the coast guard, etc. but I can't find it currently.

@taxiya it wasn't your post?
