Yeah brother, that EV infrastructure will take some time, but it could be moving fast in some parts of the world.

There is no doubt the electric car, the ICE car is going close to being obsolete.

The above news is 2 years old. When one of the seven sisters, British Petroleum is building charging stations, we know it is over for the ICE car.
ICE cars are still 95%+ of global sales. Even horses took longer to be phased out. And I still believe that due to inherent limitations of batteries, combustion vehicles still be around at least for freight but as hybrids.

For simple idiot proof logic why hybrids are good: if they were bad why do naval forces use them, even for surface ships at times?

Guys. We are witnessing a real time US GDP collapse in front of our eyes.
Open the champagne and lets party :)

US GDP Q3 growth has fallen to only 0.2% hahaha. Where is Sleepy to enlighten us...

I would also note that it is nearly certain that the US has entered recession territory in real terms as they constantly undercount real inflation with their voodoo magic

Biden is truly having a Big Brain moment picking up a fight with China when the US economy is in free fall. Good times are incoming

Also thats why they are acting like crazy now, they want to find leverage against China in order to have China save them. They are even using the Taiwan UN card. I can smell their desperation from a mile away

That fact is not important when the government essentially will outlaw the ICE car.

America is different from other countries. Everything is predicated on the car.

Other countries probably moving a lot faster to EV and leaving the ICE car behind.

That is one reason why I suspect people bet on Telsa.

America will move very slowly to EV and charging stations. That means someone, such as GM and Ford, must still support the ICE car. However, that means those companies must work on and still invest in something that every knows will be obsolete due to government mandates. Telsa's hands are not tied to legacy systems.

The more R&D, the better the product. Telsa has real advantages in their fight with GM and Ford.

The future of EV, which is the future of the car industry, is basically happening in China. What they test out there and prove to be workable, will probably be copied or exported worldwide. The Europeans are doing work on EV, but they are always expensive. European EV solutions will probably remain in Europe.

I really doubt anyone will take seriously what America does with EV. Everyone has to take Telsa seriously, but their best work with the car and infrastructure may be done in China. That is where the action is.

The bonds are up today.

That is why inflation is transitory.

The US Federal Reserve Bank probably does not expect growth. Without growth, inflation pressures subside.

With interest rates at zero or near zero, not much more the Fed can do.

Interest rates at zero means deflation, not inflation or stagflation.

Bonds going up, the bond market believes in the Fed and deflation.

 :D

Hybrids are still legal with most ICE car bans, since they're considered sufficiently electric. For example, US restrictions in California still allow plug in hybrids and even pure diesel trucks.

China's hybrid industry is amazing with BYD, Geely and foreign manufacturers all offering hybrids.

Tbh at this point Chinese should just let climate change go as a major target. It's too late. It could've been prevented 10 years earlier if Anglos bought more hybrids and took public transit more. Now they want to do ICE car bans in totality. Dumb move. All capital eventually derives from energy or labor. Banning chemical combustion energy without replacement is literally taking real capital out of your economy.

California's ICE car ban is actually not an environmental move, it is an industrial consolidation move. It is designed to try and entrench Tesla's gains - make those fictitious stock gains real by giving them regulatory backing. This is done knowing that other US competitors will be hobbled by the need to compete in ICE markets without the benefit of essentially unlimited investor money, and foreign EV competitors can be blocked by propaganda and regulator bias. It is basically crippling GM and Ford in an attempt to create a new national champion.

Can you imagine all the internal migrants and immigrants making $10 USD per hour, at a place where average rent is $2000 USD per month, highest housing costs in the US, transitioning to buying Tesla's, all within 15 years? No way.

@Overbom @FairAndUnbiased bro that is a problem living in a third world country 1) we had no choice but to buy an ICE car 2) lack of EV infrastructure 3) maintenance cost 4) gov't regulation. We had at the moment the 2nd highest electric cost in Asia so switching to EV with the standard of living of most middle class are not viable.
Your country should develop clean power and hydro-power, for powering all the new EVs. China should be able to help.

Sleepy Student and his alts are on suicide watch now, lol. The US economy is stagnating even with the monstrous printing and injection of money by the government.

Btw, does anybody remember the fake news propaganda of the Western media at the start of the year about how the US is going to grow 6-7% this year? LOL.
