US surges to narrow the gold gap with China to 8.
Expect more in the track and fields as many are Africans / carribean origin for US.

How many more medals can China hope to get in the coming days, realistically?

Two more for table tennis are in the bag. No more diving/gymnastics so not really many more.

Maybe Women's 800M could surprise us. Who knows.

In 2014, Eric Brown, British fighter pilot and test pilot, the Fleet Air Arm's most decorated living pilot,[33] stated in a BBC documentary: "I actually witnessed Hitler shaking hands with Jesse Owens and congratulating him on what he had achieved".[34] Additionally, an article in The Baltimore Sun in August 1936 reported that Hitler sent Owens a commemorative inscribed cabinet photograph of himself.[35] Later, on October 15, 1936, Owens repeated this allegation when he addressed an audience of African Americans at a Republican rally in Kansas City, remarking: "Hitler didn't snub me—it was our president who snubbed me. The president didn't even send me a telegram."[36][37]
God dammit the more you know, western propaganda and reality bending media created a completely different image.

Chesterman noted that the case of the hard-partying Aussies has been resolved. “It has all been appropriately dealt with and we have put the matter behind us here. I continue to be happy impressed by the behavior and spirit of this team.”

Demonstrating a wisdom uncommon in bureaucrats tasked with overseeing the actions of young and rowdy individuals, Chesterman indicated that the matter is part of an athlete's growth. "It is a book as old as time," he said. "A good young person makes a mistake. Chapter Two is a good, young person is full of remorse. Chapter Three is a good young person learns from the mistake and becomes a better person."

The Australian rowing team won two gold medals, while the rugby team placed seventh in its competition.

Meanwhile, partying will return as a demonstration sport in Beijing 2022, Paris 2024 and beyond.

If they or anyone else pull this BS off in Beijing I hope the cops would apprehend them and at a minimum fine them for damage. If you can’t learn to not behave like a donkey, you don’t have the discipline to participate in international sports.

Yup, send the bill to the consultate/embassy while they are DETAINED, and they won't see sunlight unless all damages are paid in full.

Just like the Aussie soldiers in Afghanistan. Murdering innocent kids is part of an Aussie soldier's growth.

On second thought I don’t think paying for damages is necessary. It is probably better for them to do one or two months of community service learning how to mop, clean, repair walls and furnitures. Before they leave they have to physically repair all the damage they’ve actually done. I think it is good character building stuff.

Could you imagine the headline if this was Chinese athlete? The MSM would have a field day. It would put the blame squarely on the CCP and maybe directly at Xi himself.

Yet, because it is OZ. Its now down to their youthfulness. Lol
