Yao Ming can cry tears of joy now. Chinese women’s basketball team made it to the quarterfinals!

Chinese women basketball team have a pretty bad draw. I think they are up against Serbia and possibly US next despite, two strong opponents. While Japan has the weaker Belgium and likely Spain. Despite going through as much better performing team than Japan. Pretty unfair and unlucky.

Kind of disturbing first set for Chen Long vs Axelsen

Chen Long seems to be unable to catch Axelsen's smashes

Update: First set lost. Chen Long is playing quite badly
Turns out Chen has a bad blister on his foot affecting his movement on the court. Still managed to get a silver along with his previous gold and bronze. Much respect to him he is 32 already this year and time has caught up to him. He still deserves recognition for his achievements.

Lovely sportsmanship at the end of the match.

When you wonder why the Anglo 'free' media is so vehemently anti- China when it comes to the Olympics, the reason is really because the Anglosphere subscribes to racial superiority myths; they believe Asians to be inferior to them so when they are proven wrong with the Olympics, the effect is similar to Adolf Hitler refusing to shake the hand of Jesse Owens

In 2014, Eric Brown, British fighter pilot and test pilot, the Fleet Air Arm's most decorated living pilot,[33] stated in a BBC documentary: "I actually witnessed Hitler shaking hands with Jesse Owens and congratulating him on what he had achieved".[34] Additionally, an article in The Baltimore Sun in August 1936 reported that Hitler sent Owens a commemorative inscribed cabinet photograph of himself.[35] Later, on October 15, 1936, Owens repeated this allegation when he addressed an audience of African Americans at a Republican rally in Kansas City, remarking: "Hitler didn't snub me—it was our president who snubbed me. The president didn't even send me a telegram."[36][37]

LOL I remember watching this many years ago. Laughed quite hard but I feel bad for them. No one wants their embarrassing moments put on the internet especially with a Aussie doing silly commentary
@getready bro the two was going to train in China but due to political reason it was canceled, the trauma and the embarrassment that it created the diving association was forced to offer an apology. And from then on they don't bother to send divers in international event which is unfortunate cause in diving you don't need height to compete. :(

Didn't know they were going to train in china. Such a shame politics ruin it. Yeah for diving height dun matter and actually for 10m it's an advantage if you are smaller and slight in build but you need strong core and thighs as can be seen with so many of the divers lean muscular built

@getready bro the physical size of the Filipino especially those in the province, diving is perfect for them. We had a lot of hidden talents needed to be discovered, due to this embarrassment the focus had turn to weightlifting , boxing and gymnastic. Bro Hidilyn Diaz during the Aquino administration request funds to train in China they refused. The help came from Filipino Chinese business communities and some supporters (Duterte is one of them) who believed in her bankrolled her training. In 2016 Rio Olympics she won her first medal in 2020 Tokyo she won gold, now the opposition party want to claim credit for both(cause she was discovered during their watch). Such vultures is being mocked here (that both victory silver and gold happen under Duterte administration)and the masses is joining the chorus...lol
