Yes be that as it may. That's not the point. If you want to point out the case is rising in Japan. Then that deserve a seperate headline away from putting it together with the games first gold medal which happens to be won by China.

You do know journalists and editors have freedom to choose. And by lumping the two together is a....... deliberate choice ...... for a reason!
Look, I'm one of the biggest ultranationalist out there....but this appears like a case of English language comprehension.

The yellow highlight clearly references Tokyo Olympics rising cases, not Chinese cases.

Come on @Phead128

Lol . "English language comprehension?! "

If you bothered to actually read what I wrote and I quote below:

"Yes be that as it may. That's not the point. If you want to point out the case is rising in Japan"

When and where did I say is not Japanese cases? I was just pointing out that the journalists and editors are deliberately clubbing the two together to create a "different" tune on China's gold medal success.

Let me ask you this: if you only read the headline/sub-headline and didn’t move on to the actual story, which 70-80% of people actually do, what would you think that they are talking about?

They most likely deliberately phrased the headline this way to associate China with the covid cases
It's CNN Sports, why wouldn't it be about Olympic-related COVID cases?

It's also highly suspicious to not post the full URL. Some random snippet of a photo.

I'm all for bashing US, but atleast do it for legitimate reasons. Or you'd be no better than Jai Hinds or American Loonies.

I think you are not giving the western propaganda soft power any credit for writing that headline like that.

And if you believe that headline was pure innocently put together by the journalists and editors, then I got a London bridge I would like to sell to you.
