I watched a Super Bowl game once on TV. I couldn't even sit through half time as i have no idea what was happening on the pitch. And what's up with the game constantly being stopt after the players just takes a few passes ?

The line of scrimmage needs to be set before every play.

There are plenty of things I do not "get" about soccer but I won't get into here .

I was truly disappointed with the Mexico Holland game on Sunday. Three minutes left in the game and Holland ties with one-one. Then the penalty………………………….Arhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…… So disappointing :(

That's normal. Unlike soccer in a typical 2-3 hour long game, the actual playing time of football (not soccer) is probably 15 minutes if not less.

He committed a foul in the worst possible place to commit a foul. Unfortunately the team, fans and Mexico paid for it.

WHAT??? I never thought about it that way. Now I think of it, if we only count the time from snap to down, it would be 15-20 minutes... But then again, the entire game is only 48 minutes. So it's not that bad...

I guess it is the same with every sport. You need to understand it to enjoy it. Most of my buddies cannot stand watching tennis. They think it is one of the most boring sports ever. Some of them actually thought tennis was the easiest sport ever since it looks so slow on TV. If you think about it, it does look like they do everything in slow mo in a tennis match. They changed their mind about the tennis game almost immediately once I played them a few minutes on an actual tennis court. One of my buddies actually thought he was having a heart attack 5 minutes into a game... And the ball seems to move so much faster once you are actually in a match.

On the other hand, I still think golf is the most boring game on TV. And my buddies take exception to that...

i dont think it was a dive... the mexican defender did step on his toe.

Robin dived and flopped! That Mexican defender barely touches his toes before Robin went all out flying Dutch drama as if he intentional foul really hard.

This foul will go down in history as the "Flying Dutchman". You read it here first friends.
