I wonder if the Type 364 and Type 517 radars will be replaced.

Chinese ships were almost always built in multiples of three, due to the three fleets. So maybe 15 is the max.

actually already 19, including under construction ... more likely 24 or over

Remember PLAN also need 052D for CBGs ... not only the three fleets

Err on which instances were those? Ships are generally ordered in batches. If some ships end up happening to have a total production run that is a multiple of three I think that is a coincidence and not some kind of pattern...

Bigger question is why is there 7 x LCAC in there ?

What’s going on they commissioned them and then put them back into the port ?

Because they don’t look like new builds ?

Type 726 is the biggest mystery

The picture in the link is larger to see, many people think 052d+ just extended the helicopter deck, for Z-20 instead of Ka-52.

But the hangar itself remains the same size? If it was made to hold z20 from the onset then the landing pad would have also been longer from earlier on. And if it can't hold z20 them what is the point? Lengthening the ship for less than 5% of landings the ship is going to see?
