Damn..my friends that is a big ass ship. BIG!! I wonder how many China eventually will build?
As long as their purchasing power hasn't been eroded and they haven't ship off their manufacturing base to other countries, they can build as many as their geopolitical goals dictate.
They will need Taiwan ports of course and maybe some in Pakistan as well to base all these carriers.
My guess is probably 12-15. Ultimately to replace Type 001, Type 002, and Type 003. They will have 4-5 on patrol at all times, 4-5 in reserve, and 4-5 in maintenance.
Where will they be based? 3 in NF, 4 in SF, 4 in Taiwan, maybe 2 in EF and then maybe 2 abroad. This is decades into the future that I'm speaking off so it's all guesses.
Don't take this to the bank. A new technology or a major war might show up and render carriers obsolete and that number might never be reached.

I don’t think China wants 12-15, I think China builds maybe a total of 7. 12-15 would be needed if they want global dominance but for Asian dominance 7 is more than enough
China needs more than just Asian dominance, IMO.
The 2049 military modernization goal, after all, is to see the PLA transform into a 'world-class' fighting force.
You don’t need 12-15 carriers for that though

Why 2049? 2025 PLAN is already a world class navy. By 2030, more ships will be joing, Fujian, type 076, and may be we also also see the sea trial of 004.
IMO, they mean the number 1 navy in the world by "world class". I remember requirements were also capable to supporting extensive long range expeditionary warfare and win.
Such requirement means the number of carriers/LHDs is crucial and it's also something you cant build up fast.
