He is just BSing as if he has some sort of original finding or secret source, which only exists in his imagination. In reality all of his "secrecy" is actually sourced from weibo like I did. I understand that he could be a good faith to not get OP into trouble, for example Chinese authority has started new round of Weibo military purge.

But you know posting something without citing sources, is not going to protect the source at all. He is acting like that PLA intelligence office is a bunch of idiot who can't find the original source. I would rather not to post them or discuss them in private if one is indeed trying to protecting sources.

;) The name tag in Chinese is

probably because they merged.

Btw from what I heard privately, Dalian shipyard sent several rounds of expert to Jiajiang, where houses China's nuclear power designing branch and had a working team stationed here at least since 2022. I am about 95% certain Dalian is going to build something nuclear.

Thanks, and even more so for the last part, that's why I deleted my post you quoted. Thanks a lot!

I also heard a while ago from someone very reliable that Dalian was tooling up for nuclear construction.

Dalian has entered the chat.

Don't waste time on these baseless CG and models.
The flight deck of CVN-19 will be very similar to the Ford class.
  • 4 electromagnetic catapults
  • 3 arresting cables
  • Regular trapezoidal elevators
I thought the Chinese have long rejected the idea of 4 catapults? I heard that since the electromagnetic ones are longer than the originally planned steam ones for 003 Fujian, the new EMCs took up extra space on the deck, leading to inefficiencies in deck operations. Therefore, for 004, 005, and 006, the goal would be to enlarge deck space to allow the three electromagnetic catapults to operate at maximum efficiency.

Where did you read that they had permanently rejected the got four catapult configuration in perpetuity?

Even if we assume the transition to EM cats meant they could only put on three catapults in the case for 003, a new CVN would be a new, larger design from the outset.

Wow ... but does it look like a carrier?

He's not implying it's a carrier.

Adding one catapult to a larger aircraft carrier is easy, and the benefits are obvious.
