Japanese Mitsubishi X2 Stealth Aircraft News

Agreed. This ongoing discussion really has nothing related to X2, not even the engine that is used by X2.

But I must stress that people should not bring in unrelated matters into this thread in the first place.

it started by samuraiblue that claimed the japanese cmc is much superior to any engines in the world ... which we all know is not true ... and it is really getting annoying and a lot of people get annoyed with the attitudes. Currently all engine manufacturers rely on many suppliers for thousands parts ... obviously Japan is one of those, as so China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, EU, etc ... so there is nothing special here. Engine manufacturers would set the specs and choose the suppliers that the best for them ... like any other business

And my question remains, to remind you, what point were you trying to make regarding that specific texts of mine?

My texts was not a stand alone piece, they are a part of a whole post. In that very post, I have stated that nobody (at least me) deny that Japan is advanced in many areas. So don't take offence, but I don't need to be reminded by anybody.

Also, I would question you. What does China using Russian engines for SOME of her jets have anything to do with my original post that you referred? And remind you, China has fielded hundreds of WS-10, not just prototypes according to you. Are you just trying to diverge the topic due to your "looking-down on China" issue?

Please stay in the premeters of the discussion. If you want to belittle Chinese Engine, go to the relevant thread, we have one in SDF.
You are the one belittling Japan, the Japanese have XF-7s engines in their P-x patrol aircraft, they are using 4 in each aircraft but the aircraft is operational, which means they are not so powerful, for such reason the used on C-X their cargo aircraft, GE engines.

But having engines in J-11 Su-27 clones does not mean the engine is reliable enough if they fly the J-31 with Russian engines or L-15 with Ukrainian ones, but eventually they will develop their engines, but Japan has powered with their own technology the F-3 tech dem aircraft, with engines modified from the Xf-7 engine used on P-x.

And Japan is part of jet engine used on B-777 and others, so in civil tech they are well positioned.

again you are dodging my questions and diverting the discussion, instead of doing so why not answer my questions? Is that your habit or just trolling?

Japan is well positioned, it is a designer and manufacturer of jet engines in the class of 5-6 tonnes now, the P-X patrol aircraft is one of them using XF-7 engines.

China is using WS-10s, in the 12 tonnes class, the rest of countries are developing parts, Mexico does develop some parts for jet engines, in fact the Leap jet engine by GE has parts designed in Mexico, in the GE design center, however what sets apart China and Japan is they have their own programs.

Safran’s recently announced $75 million investment in a new factory in Mexico is part of the French engine maker’s concerted response to meeting the exceptionally high levels of demand for the Leap engines it produces through its CFM International joint venture with GEAviation. By the end of 2017, the new plant at Queretaro, 125 miles north of Mexico City, will start producing 3-D woven composite fan blades for the Leap turbofans. By 2021, the facility, which is being built in partnership with U.S. company Albany International, is expected to reach an annual output rate of more than 20,000 blades.

and

Still, some aerospace companies are using Mexico as a base for research and design. GE, the No. 1 producer of jet engines, now has its largest research and design center outside of the U.S. and Canada in Querétaro, where some 1,300 engineers work on projects like the GEnx turbine used on Boeing's 787 Dreamliner and the Airbus A380.

Brazil designs jet engines too, but these are for small UAVs in the 700 kg class like the TAPP or TJ-1200

You have no questioned anything, i am not dodging any questioned, jet engine design is not a secret science but more an expensive task which requires safety and a market it is very hard to enter

Just for an interest, I just googling around .. list of Chinese aircraft engine.

China has manufactured turbojet engine since Shenyang PF-1 for JJ-1 since 1950s. The first Chinese built high performance turbofan engine is WS-9 (license of Spey) and the first Chinese designed advanced high performance turbofan is WS-10A in 2000s and already installed in many J-11 series (over well 300+ engines)

China is still way way behind of the top turbofan engines countries of the USA, France, the UK and Russia. But I don't think China is behind of Japan in this matter ... in fact ahead of Japan overall (not just a few parts)

Hi guys, don't you see someone is derailing this thread by bringing in first China, then Brazil etc.

This is either a habitual behavior, or a deliberate flame bait (which I believe is the one), if anyone fall into this trap, one will be equally but unfairly blamed in the not far future for misconduct. It doesn't worth the breath and time. Leave him to talk to himself.
