ALEPPO, SYRIA (7:30 A.M.) - The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary), launched a powerful assault last night in the northeastern sector of Aleppo City, targeting the Islamist-controlled areas near the strategic Jandoul Roundabout.

Led by the 102nd Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Armed Forces managed to capture several factories that are located to the south of the Jandoul Roundabout, killing several militants in the process of this advance today.

As a result of this advance, the Syrian Armed Forces have now imposed fire-control over Ba'den Square, leaving the Islamist rebels of Fatah Halab with their backs against the wall, as their positions are now susceptible to Syrian Army ATGMs (anti-tank guided missile) and mortar shells.

1. Al-Nusra won't leave the civilian hostage (if there is still) in Aleppo off their hand, making themselves vulnerable to be bombed.
2. The so-called opposition forces are either so small that separating themselves would make them immediately ignorable, irrelevant, or they don't really exist so nothing to separate. They are just ghosts used by the Saudi-US-Turkey alliance to remain on the stage, bargaining substances with empty hands.

The two points made the separation never happened in the past and not happening at this time at Lausanne, and probably will never happen.

ALEPPO, SYRIA (5:45 A.M.) - Last night, the Syrian Arab Army's Republican Guard, backed by Hezbollah and Kata'eb Al-Ba'ath, launched a new assault in the southern sector of Aleppo, targeting the key district of Salahiddeen, which is under the control of Fatah Halab.

Led by the 800th Regiment of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah stormed the Salahiddeen District, striking Fatah Halab's defenses at the Sa'eed 'Ali area.

Following an intense battle last night, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah managed to secure several building blocks in the Sa'eed 'Ali area, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy forces.

However, the Syrian Armed Forces did not stop there; instead, they pressed the jihadist rebels of Fatah Halab and Jaysh Al-Fateh at several other sites, including the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project and the Sheikh Sa'eed District.

Intense clashes are currently ongoing at several axes in southern Aleppo, as the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah attempt to expel the remaining jihadists from this area.
This morning BBC Radio 4 mentioned that the assault on Mosul has begun and talked about concern for the inhabitants but apparently didn't see this as a reason not to attack. o_O
