Another cheap BEV from BYD. This time Yuan Pro 2023 version. Now they have Dolphin, E2, Qin+ & Yuan Pro all in the sub 150K segment. On top of that, they have sea gull coming. Seems a little overcrowded
Preparing for "Tesla Model 2"? All of these are supposedly upgraded to the e-Platform 3.0. BTW, if Tesla really can ramp up the annual production of "Model 2" to 4 million, it will give some huge bonanzas to Chinese EV batteries manufacturers.

MG is expanding in Europe at a rather fast pace. Subscription needed, but you get the idea.

How MG became one of Europe's fastest growing brands

An expanding lineup of value-priced electric and combustion-powered vehicles has pushed the Chinese-owned brand's sales ahead of Jeep, Cupra and Honda.

According to Electric Viking, MG is one of the best selling EVs in Europe.

Xi: Elon my man, I'm sick and tired of Xinhua and Global Times and their journalists being labelled as Chinese government sponsored content on Twitter. Since you own the thing, can you be a bro and remove the tag?
Elon: Doesn't that look a bit conspicuous? Tell you what, how about we label NPR, VOA, and BBC as Government Sponsored Content instead?
Xi: Okay. Can't have everything in life I guess...

We don't need to agree with this guy. He is an okay reviewer, but not always right.
He's not alone, I also found it lacking in terms of some design details. That cheap acrylic looking "wing" at the tail and dotted style lights were not very pleasing to look at, not up to supercar standards.

Apparently BYD tooked the negative feedback and modified the design in their newest official images. I'd say the modifications are quite on point and the car looks much better now (the color also helped).

To be fair car design is very subjective but I do agree that the redesign of the front lights look a lot better, BYD really need to run their designs by focus groups before committing. Another BYD design that is a bit divisive is probably the Atto 3 with its musical instrument and muscle interior.
