According to the Electric Viking, they are not doing well in Europe, especially in Germany, and several viewers wrote that it was the prices.
EV penetration in Europe is low (IIRC low single digits) just like in the US. You don't destroy your own margins by competing directly against ICE autos. If you design and price an EV for the luxury end of the market, you also don't lower your prices to compete against low or mid end products like Model 3. Kind of like how Ermenegildo Zegna doesn't collapse their own prices to compete with Ralph Lauren. I would say your level of ignorance is very pre-business 101, so watch less youtube videos and go get a real education.

What gave you the idea I was talking about competing against ICEs.

Look at
, a ranking of EV sales in Europe. Chinese cars are ranked way below. NIO and BYD are not selling well in Germany, especially for the former after building a number of swap stations.

If you can't be polite with your reply, why bother answering? Nothing better to do? WTF!

Again, if you designed your product from the outset to target luxury market, you don't re-price it later to compete with Model 3. That is like Apple repricing their phones to compete with Xiaomi. What is it you can't understand about that? If your primary source of information is a youtuber, you can't even hope to understand the kinds of internal discussions and considerations at play here. When global market penetration for the entire product category is a tiny lower single digit % of the potential market size, there is no real pressure to destroy your own margins.

In contrast, the Chinese EV market is very competitive and that likely drove Tesla's decision to initiate a price war.

Just explain without being rude. Why is that so hard?
Simply put, I am tired of people here posting youtubers and twitter accounts as a primary source. It drives a lot of self-perpetuating ignorance, misunderstandings, and even propaganda. A lot of these questions are simple to answer by getting a very basic business education or even a basic search like "why doesn't apple price their phones to compete with Xiaomi". Or even "why doesn't Mercedez price their cars to compete with Ford?"

That's not my problem. Did I ask you that question? If you were tired, you should have ignored my question and moved on. If you bothered to reply, then this is the way:

Get over it. And stop relying on youtubers for information if you want to actually understand what's really going on.

They are priced high because that's not their focus at the moment. Byd is focused on getting the basics of building network and transportation right first. Not everywhere is Thailand and Israel.

The Yangwang U9 is evaluated as ugly in the term of Supercar by YYP on its launch day. He said a supercar is a type of car that has very high requirement of aesthetics. His review on the U9 in the below video starts at 6:25.

We don't need to agree with this guy. He is an okay reviewer, but not always right.
