Do
Huawei should just make their own car or try to cultivate a relation with one or two dedicated car companies, even if they have to finance them.

Google also only had one or two phone companies use Android when they started out.
Don't they have the Seres brand already?

CATL is having a very close relationship with Hyundai, who is also looking for a Ford type deal to skirt IRA. Interesting that Hyundai would rather work with CATL than LG Chem
Probably because LG Energy cannot mass-produce LFP batteries.

I don't know how Western policymakers plan to unseat China's dominant position. A lot of the battery investment in the West comes from Chinese OEMs.
The usual: smearing Chinese miners and battery makers of using unethical production methods, such as using slave labors or causing pollution, Chinese producers are already taking measures to counter potential sanctions by the West, for example, teaming up with foreign companies.

BYD's electric trucks and bus:

New battery technology from CALB: the NCM version has an energy density of 300 Wh/kg, while the LFP/LMFP versions have an energy density of 200 Wh/kg. It can be fast-charged in 10 minutes.

Qin EV champion edition starts at 13w RMB for 420km range, changes include new heat pump, 8-in-1 drivetrain, V2L, larger screen

Netizens are not happy because it has too many glaring cons for such a price. For one, it still only has a max speed of only 130kmh, and now omits sunroof, electric seat adjustment, wind deflectors, one touch power window etc for only a measly 1w decrease in price

It's in a very awkward position
For additional 0-3w you can get a Geometry A, Aion S Plus, Leapmotor C01 or Shenlan SL03
Or you could save 5w and get a traditional Changan Eado, Arrizo 5 Plus, Emgrand and spend the 5w on all the petrol you could ever need

It looks like @Jiang ZeminFanboy was right about the prices of Chinese EVs being too high or not competitive enough, making them unappealing in Europe. What are the reasons for the stiff prices?
Simply put, there is not much competition. Their sales are still good even at the current price points. Price vs sales volume is purely an optimization curve for max profits. EVs have puny market penetration outside of China. Roughly 2% vs 98% for ICE autos.
