Big news, BYD Atto 3 delivery to Thailand reached 10k with this latest batch of 800 from Shanghai port. They had previously raised allocation for Thailand to 11k in the first 3 months, so we might be exceeding that here.
Keep in mind, BYD received 10305 orders in first month at Thailand, so this is really a very quick delivery ramp up.

Total export of Atto 3 reached 40014 in 2022
more on this. looks like BYD reached agreement to build battery plant in Thailand

Makes a lot of sense to invest in markets where you are trying to win over your Japanese rivals.
Also makes sense to build supply chain all over southeast Asia to win over local customers.

Rever has said that 7000 more Atto 3 will be allocated to Thailand from February 2nd until Songkran festival in mid April. Works out to be about 3000 to 4000 a month.
that would be 17000 in first 5 months. I really think they are still just not producing them fast enough. Yuan family has such a long backlog right now.

The first 100 Atto 3 have been delivered to Malaysian customers on 15th.

In response to the argument "America can't stop Chinese battery manufacturing dominance in EV applications", I said the US has a simple solution, ban EVs.

Looks like they do have this in mind (although this is not serious legislation and not targeted to Chinese companies, it shows it is a step they are willing to take)

From car fans, Toyota is reportedly interested in working with BYD to create an electric version of the Alphard. That is quite weird to read about since that's what Denza D9 is and up to 15% of D9 customers were Alphard owners.

LiAuto L6 isn't going on the market this year. Too much work.

They can but it would lead to crippling their export automotive sector and drive much higher costs for transportation in general.
