I don't think anyone believes China's military is superior especially from the China side. I'm sure many from the anti-China side who sees anyone defiant interprets it that way. There are many paths to victory without the plain technological might.

it was only reported in that one source that you read by that really un-credible Indian reporter. CAC has had talks with Malaysia, but that's CAC. Whether PLAAF will allow it is a different story. CAC thinks about things from a financial point of view, PLA thinks from strategic point of view.

It was reported in one of the only 2 official defence magazines in that country and since the militaries of Malaysia & China aren't exactly buddies, it would have caused a stir if there was no truth in it.

We can only judge what's in front of us and whatever CAC & PLA disagreements as speculated by you, we can only wait & see the developments.

It would really be hard to sell the J-10 if you are going to tell the would be buyer that you are not going to get upgrades of the plane you are investing in. Which country's military with the right mind is going to agree to that?

Since the J-10 is marketed at the Zhuhai show and only countries with the right budget can afford this plane, I'm sure CAC & the PLA will have some agreement on what systems is available on the plane for sale and they have to be competitive with what others have to offer.

Friends, when I read this thread, I hope to read about JF17 / FC-1. The last so many posts merit a seperate thread about whether or not China would export this or that military product for this or that reason. I hope to read news about what this particular thread is about. Please start a seperate thread if you would rather discuss something else.

Remember all the reports about Iran buying J-10 a while back and how a bunch of people were making the same argument to me that China will sell J-10, because it needs the money and it will provide the same J-10 as the one that China uses? That turned out to be fallacious.

riumor of iran possible purchased of J-10 may afterall a rumor,according to tW,rumor ma have been warning to US not to sell arm to TW.
China do comply with US demand not sold arm to syria and iran, China do worked with US on North korean nuclear issue.on the other hand, US failed to live with her aggreement ,arm sale to TW .and China bashing within the pentagon.

Man, I forgot the general's name, but there was that story of the visiting US general touring China and he ordered his pilot to make an impromptu stop at a Chinese military base not on his itinerary that sent everyone there scrambling not because they saw it as a threat but more it seemed because they weren't ready to receive him. I don't know how many visits of high-ranking US military officers has happened since then but you wonder if it could happen again on a base with classified assets.

I think youre referring to the magazine article that got Adm Fallon sacked because he publicly disagreed with official positions coming out of White House.

Whoever will manufacture will be the same, because they share 50/50.

well right now i say china, but the cost of manufacturing will be a 50/50 split, and the sales will be distrubuted 50/50 to Pakistan and China. Pakistan currently doesnt have the facilities to manufacture fighter technology. They only currently are able to only upgrade and maintenance, but not manufacture or produce.

But the fighter cannot yet be exported until China gets the engine ready and replaces the RD-93 so that it will not violate agreements. Which when that happens i think China should get a larger share of the sales say 60/40. since pakistan didnt contribute to the development of the engine.
