She will not visit Taiwan. not in her agenda and now she denied said that she never discussed her itinerary

If you're going to make serious claims that changes and puts the brakes on a discussion especially in a time of high tension, a source is usually appreciated.
If you do not have a source, or if you have misinterpreted a source, that is fine, but that is why making statements like that need to have some sort of reference.

I think we could see a non-military charter jet take Pelosi to Taiwan.
This is the only way both countries can salvage a win without everyone's predicted nuclear holocaust.

1. The US still gets their symbolic visit
2. China can gloat that the military backed down

The big loser is English Vegetable. 2 governments bicker over a potential conflict that would be devastating to her charges, but all you get is radio silence. Truly just a puppet government

I am surprised that the thing people in this thread worry the most about, had China and US engage in a shooting war, is whether SDF and internet will still be available or not. If you are living in China, you should learn where your nearest air raid shelters are located and where to get emergency aid, and if you are living in the US but have Chinese ancestry, you should probably think about ways to get out ASAP to avoid internment camps 2.0 or worse treatment. The impact of a shooting war will be absolutely massive, and the world will be a different place over night. People will lose their loved ones, healthy individuals may become casualties and live with a handicap for the rest of their life. Many people will be forced into situations that will be worse than a quick death.

Note that I am not opposed to all wars (some wars are unavoidable and just), and I also support Chinese Unification. However the correct attitude I should have right now is not "let me get some popcorn", but rather how will I survive this in one piece? and if I can survive, what should I do afterwards?

Can you prepare the guns and ammo, while I bring the fireworks and popcorn. We can do a SDF Canada meetup.

I also do not believe a pelosi visit will "force" China to start a war. First of all, the visit does not fundamentally change the status of Taiwan. In addition, there has been a similar visit in 1997 that also did not turn into hot war.
To deter state leader visits of Taiwan from becoming common place however, PLA will absolutely have actions. A publicized fly-over of WZ-8 over Taiwan and complete ignore of median line in all future air drills seem like reasonable and possibly beneficial escalatory measures to me.

From my knowledge, the PLA made confidential war plans and preparations in 1996, but was halted by a very infamous leak which led to US intervention by sending 2 carrier groups.

China in back in 1996 is a order of magnitude weaker than today; nonetheless PLA back then was seriously preparing for all-out war. Therefore even less the reason to believe that PLA of today had none of that in mind.

When the MoD talked about their determination, I wouldn’t take it lightly. Sadly certain American politicians pretended not to understand the gravity of the situation.
