If you want to understand the whole Star Wars canon watch the CGI animated "Clone Wars" & "Star Wars Rebels" on Disney plus. But first watch the films in episode order.

Now..I always see a ton of dislike towards the last trilogy of Star Wars movies. Personally I've been watching Star wars since 1977..before many of you were born. I've seen every Star Wars film in the theater..on the BIG screen. And of course at home on electronic media. I like all the films. I'm no critic. I just enjoy most SCI-FI.

Many Star Wars aficionados are critical of the last trilogy. I don't thing Disney or the producers care. Those films made big $$$$$..And for producers that is the bottom line.

On to a diffrent subject. My favorite Star Wars Character is Ahsoka Tano. I think she is the greatest Jedi in the entire Star Wars canon. Even though the character stated "I'm no Jedi" more than once.

Don't get carried away with Star Wars...It's just modern day mythology

p.s...To me The Mandalorian is the best Star Wars production from Disney.
Thank you Popeye, I'll definitely have a look.

The Obi Wan Kenobi show is coming may 25, I'm excited about that. The trailers looks epic.

It does. People might not like it but it does; if Martin ever writes an ending it'll be the same as the one in the series. That ending was executed poorly but the idea is sound. ASOIF is tangentially about the political struggles of fantasy medieval statelets - it's principally about the endgame of a millennia-old struggle between two gods over which would enslave humanity. One of them won.

Can you elaborate? Which two gods are you referring to?

BTW, when I said still no ending in sight, I meant there's no indication Martin is ever going to write an ending. :D

Halo TV debuted last night. Although the CGI came up a little short. The Human in the Covenant canon, but otherwise I can’t wait for episode 2
Dang, I wouldn't say I like that TV. That's totally out of character. Or it just borrowed some ideas from Halo.

I don’t think it is as they are using the novel series as the basis but spinning a slightly different continuity.
Farther I would counter point that Halo liberally borrowed from a wide range of Sci-fi books and movies.
The Spartans are almost directly lifted from a 1996 movie called Soldier which was a loose Blade runner sequel. Children kidnapped trained into super soldiers by the government. They are dispatched to put down insurrections including in space. The Lead Character is named Sgt Todd 3465. Tell me he doesn’t sound like a Spartan. They also lifted part of the film’s armory for the human weapons.
The Spartan II soldiers are also based on Captain America with a little Wolverine in the mix
Mjolnir and the ODST drop pods are lifted from the Starship troopers novel, the guns and Scarabs from the movie. Would also accept Ironman.
Cortana is lifted from Ghost in the shell.
The Marines and ODST, Pelican/Condors, mech suits Sgt Johnson (Sgt Apone ) are from Aliens.
warthog, and earth vehicles are pretty much the GI Joe toy line.
Plasma weapons are from Starwars, the Halo weapon is the Death Star
The Elites are Klingons from Trek hybrid with Predator and Jaffa.
Flood are Zombies from Resident Evil or demon from Doom
The Worms are more or less The cyborg demons from Doom crossed with T1000
The Grunts are the Goblins from war hammer,
Brutes are Uruk-hai from Tolkien
the Prophets are the Systemlords of Star gate SG1 the Forerunners are the Ancients of Stargate.
The Halos are from Ringworld
The Monitor are Hal 9000 from 2001
I could max out the character count like this.
Halo is one of the least original franchises in Sci-fi but that’s not a bad thing. It took other ideas and tossed them into the blender for a unique mix.

Well, I'm not talking about Halo borrowing ideas from other sci-fi, I'm simply saying that this Halo TV series doesn't look like Halo. The screenwriter changed the character too much for dramatic conflicts that they don't look like who they were in games or novels anymore.

I know nothing about Halo. Never played the game but I recently heard a comparison to the Marvel comics storyline of the Eternals and the whole story of how the universe came about.
