lol. Did he really need to have his country destroyed to realise that NATO would betray Ukraine?...

"ZELENSKY: “Regarding NATO, I lost interest in this issue after we realized that NATO is not ready to accept Ukraine. The alliance is afraid of contradictory things and confrontation with the Russian Federation”
Sounds more like he's trying to get the population ready for a diplomatic settlement which leaves Ukraine out of NATO.
But the Russians might not accept if they can't enforce it.

Z might have just signed his own ‘retirement’ papers. If he can’t even reach NATO or EU, he’s useless to Ukrainian military. His residual value to NATO and EU is probably becoming a symbol of freedom and ultimate sacrifice!

After much discussion, we are re-opening this thread. All previous rules are still in place, that means:

1. absolutely no discussion of potential China/Taiwan conflict (militarily, politically, anything!)
2. no attacking other members, no matter how their opinions may differ from you (no slurs, name calling, etc.)
3. no one-liner posts
4. no single Twitter/Reddit posts, in fact we highly recommend not to use Twitter/Reddit as your source of information
*The above are immediately ban-able offenses!

5. keep the Ukraine conflict discussion to this thread - that means don't flood the World News thread!
6. posting a link to anything (news sites, official announcements, etc.) must be accompanied by some sort of analysis allowing for further discussion
7. if all you want is to call out another member, but have nothing useful to bring forward to continue the discussion, then don't do it
8. call out inappropriate behaviour, not difference in opinion

9. if you see a troll post, the right thing to do is to IGNORE it!

We hope this thread will be used to provide useful updates on what is happening, staying away from obvious propaganda and mis-information.

I'm amazed... Even with all the warnings about contents of this thread, it seems that there's always someone willing to sacrifice himself to the ban hammer each day, perhaps a good demonstration of what not to do? Just a warning, I know some of you are walking on very thin ice here.

You have too few mods and thus you have arbitrarily banned members.

Rules numbers 3 and 4 are consistently being broken with little/no repercussions.

Either make this thread free for all or make more mods.

Here's something different, Phoenix News out of Hong Kong got a reporter on the ground just outside Mariupol, he had a brief chat with a DNR soldier. Man these 8 year vets are hardcore:

Reporter: "where is the front line?"
Soldier: "about 1km down the road that way"
Reporter: "you're not tense?"
Soldier: "nope"
Reporter: "how come?"
Soldier: "Been doing this for the last 8 years."
