interestingly, huitong has put the pictures of the first regiment of J-11s on his site.
J-11B_1113.jpg

This is not really a surprise, since we all expected J-11B to be going to the 1st division. Anyhow, looks like it will probably be in Anshan at the 1st regiment. And the existing J-11s will either mix and be sent to other regiments later or will go to 3rd regiment and J-8Fs will go somewhere else. Looks like the J-10s will be going to the 2nd regiment at Chifeng.

What's this electro optic radar they talk about on J-11B
What's the range? advanatge/disadvantage versus conventional radar?

Second row, the 2nd one on the left hand side.

The electro optical "radar" being mentioned is the IRST, which is the second thing from the left in the second row.

Who said to use J-11 to airdropping vehicle? I can't see that post! Well, it's insane for that, fighters are never intended for that roles.

Click on the picture explainer above, it says J-11 can be used to airdrop vehicles.
I know, there must be something wrong with that...

That's a picture showing different airborn systems produced by AVIC I, not system used by J-11. It just happens that most of the systems produced by AVIC I is used on J-11.

I would say that most of the systems shown in that picture are not used in any other aircraft. The IRST is straight off. The cockpit is another and so is the radar, since the backend is different in design from the other KLJ series.
