Wait a minute. The J-11B may look like a Su-27 but its weapons, radar, avionics and engine are all indigenous. So, what is left is the Su-27 shell only.

Hello?
We are not talking about the source of technology here but rather those components being indigenously built as opposed to licensed built. As for technology, it would be from many different sources just like it would be for any other countries trying to built something as complicated as a jet fighter.

It could be the angle but that J-10 looks a little off.

Did China ever actually purchase those two Su-33s for evaluation when there was all that talk from the Russians about China buying something like around 40(?) Su-33s a while ago?

Strange picture, the J-10 looks like there's too much weight on the left hand side. Could be PS !!!

J-10 looks like its center of gravity is leaning to one side, probably fuel tanks one empty the other full. Dunno what to make of this picture if their were captions underneath it would be good.

Su-33 was deal or discussion was announced by the Russian side not the Chinese. Chinese havent announced it. The initial proposal was 2 Su-33 for evaluation and 50 Su-33 altogether.

But really personally the Su-33 per unit price is a rip off to China, the unit price is way too high. And its technology is nothing China cannot produce after closer examination. It is afterall based on Su-27 airframe. Exactly what China also has.

Sorry guys, but IMO these are just scale models (maybe the 1/72 Trumpeter J-10 and the Su-33 from Italeri).

Just take a look at the Flanker's canopy and the missile fins ... they are much too fat to be from a real one. :(

Just my opinion.

I agree. The background looks like someone's desk and a window. The J-10 is leaning to the left..which shows the aircrafts has to be models.

Yes the missles look a little iffy, and the canopies look very plastic. Definately models.
