You say that any admission of weakness is insincere in order to gain funding. An insincere statement is false. Therefore, the weakness does not exist.

But if all statements of weaknesses are false, then there are no weaknesses. There is only all aspect strength. That is essentially omnipotence. But belief in omnipotence is unlikely to be logical, as omnipotence is unlikely to exist. Therefore, it is a faith based belief.

This is why I used the words I did. Correct me if my logic is wrong. Thanks.

It's just a continuum where in this case they are simply trying to complain about how poorly organised and focused they are in competing with China. This is and isn't the case. It's clearly below what they hope to achieve. Speculation on my part anyway. It's just not some black and white thing.

We know US cyber abilities are strong if not also world leading. The guy quit because maybe he does genuinely feel that way and some of it might just be drama for drama's sake and funding etc. It isn't a case of China already is ahead and will dominate or a case of US is omnipotent and doing this as some distraction because they are hiding strength.

Yea ougoah's basically said it all already.

But consider this hypothetical situation: The US and China's cyberwarfare situation is at parity. Thus, neither side has an advantage. Then, the "admission of weakness" by someone who knows that both sides are at parity would be insincere and also false. But similarly there is no strength.

Furthermore, having "strength" or, an advantage, doesn't mean omnipotence. If the US is better in everything by 1%, is that omnipotence? All it takes is for someone to sneeze at the wrong moment to lose.

This strength/weakness thing isn't binary. The real, actual disparity between US and China's cyberwarfare probably aren't one-dimensional. China may be better at one thing and the US may be better at another.

Do wonder was the US cyber ability only this strong because they had access to all blueprints and source code. Given that if a nation wanted to at least achieve middle income they had to buy western equipment and machinery in the 1990 till like the mid 2010s. Now that China can create its own equipment and code it might become harder to just analyses source code to find weaknesses.

They now probably have to decompile or analyze assemble, match that to the hardware implementation and god know how the hardware changes that to micro ops sequences in hardware.

I'd be cautious about such premature proclamations of "surrender monkey defeatist talk" from the anglos; usually, they come out with defeatist shit like this with intent to get Congress to pour more money into anglo american "wunderwaffe". I'll believe america truly accepts their defeat when they allow Huawei into the anglosphere and allow Chinese firms to buy high tech Us companies.
Exactly. They fact that it was made public tells me that it’s designed to push the govt to increase investments in AI and Cyber. He’s also scheduled to testify in Congress. So what does that tell you.

President Xi announces mega-project at UN biodiversity event

Construction on the first phase, comprising 100 gigawatts of wind and solar, in the desert has started smoothly, President Xi Jinping said via video link Tuesday at a United Nations Biodiversity Conference in Kunming.

It would be able to generate four times as much power as the Three Gorges Dam.

The announcement echoes an unconfirmed report from last month that China was planning a 400-gigawatt project in the desert, with half the capacity to be constructed by 2025. Details are scant about the project, including exactly where it is and how spread out the installations will be. However, a likely location is western China, where existing and planned power lines link renewables projects to the main demand centers in the east.

Not only is this great for the environment, becoming carbon neutral is the greatest thing China can do for its national security. No more hydrocarbon imports that can be interdicted.
