Works perfectly for China because someone else will be flipping the bill. The West thinks China's Belt and Road is all about buying allies because that's how they created their alliances. But the US and West are short on cash. Why didn't the West develop these countries before? Because they were seen as worthless and of no strategic value. They will be pouring money into countries just to buy a vote against China. They can only do that if they can keep handing over the cash. Look at Africa. The West didn't spend money on developing Africa. Now they're talking economic relations only because China built the infrastructure to start economic activity. The West will have to annually spend a lot of money to keep these countries on their side against China. China talks globalism. The West is talking against it. So who are these countries going to go to when the West doesn't have nor want spend their money? Will it be under contract that these countries sold their soul to the West because they dug a ditch for them? And as usual everything the West does costs more money for them to do and they will require one of their countries to build the infrastructure meaning more money it costs. It use to be that things like refrigerators and air conditioners were considered luxury items only found in the West. Not until China came along. Even when the West outsources to China, they still won't be able sell refrigerators because they're still thinking about the size of their cut and it'll still be unaffordable to most people they try develop. So Western countries fear all you want and spend money to counter China in developing countries. It works for China because if the US/West had the money to keep all these economies allied with theirs, they would've already done it and not wait until for China to get them into action. When people make money for themselves, they're going to want to make more money and they can't do that if the West dictates they can only do business with them where everything is more expensive meaning less money they make.
US behaviour is exactly like what they accused the Soviet Union of being during the Cold War

Hmmm even if US somehow managed to round up some investors that are willing to throw in a few trillions into long term construction projects in Africa, where are they going to get the expertise and resources to be competitive on an equal scale against China?

Japan, Australia, UK, Germany hmm....

They can't, it's in their nature to be parasitic and predatory; i highly recommend Perkins' "Confessions of an Economic hitman".

the West needs to debt trap these african nations to guarantee their access to those resources; China just offered a better deal that the West can't match because it would involve the west betraying its oligarchs which would in turn result in civil revolt and elite insurrection.

What will they rate how many bombs it would need for the US to destroy the Infrastructure. Really global south people should care less what the white people in the West think about things.

It really does feel like a grifters paradise, So you want to get triple A blue dot rating for your infrastructure here are my crypto addresses, here is a menu with prices for specific ratings.

There are actually some "big" initiatives coming out of this G7 meeting.

There is talk about the Blue Dot Initiative, create funds for green development, and talk about an "International Procurement" mechanism where "bad" companies will be excluded from gov procurement
in their countries

I think you can guess which country they target with all these measures....

New initiatives.

Same old witch hunt.

You know, it was like yesterday, was reading the press, and same old story about how America is going to get China over this issue, that issue, another issue, and some other issue.

After a while, and since President Trump, it has been a few years now, it just feels different now I realized, to me at least.

This just feels like America is on witch hunt. Obviously China is suppose to be the witch in this case.

Muslims, Hong Kong, trade are, tech restrictions, South China Sea, Taiwan, ect ... you name it, it is like everything.

So they are looking for witches to string up.

So far, not many other people have gone along with it. Other countries seemed to have declined to join this American witch hunt. Only Australia is the loyal servant, running along together in the witch hunt.

As I understand America, it always its lynchings. But the witch hunt is more than a lynching, it is like a moral crusade, to rid of evil forces in the community. And there is a lynching at the end, to make the crowd return home happy after an evening of activities.

The Brits, they are snobbish, they hunt foxes, not witches, that is only what the colonialist would do. The other Europeans would be cuck-cucking their tongues. When the Japanese see that, they would say China is bad, but we do not believe in witches.

That is what we have been witnessing. America on a witch hunt, supported by their servant Australia.

The other countries, they try to act in their own interests, in whatever way they define it as such.

Witch hunts not included.

Matthew Pottinger, Trump's deputy national security adviser and a key architect of the administration's China policy, said getting a "blue dot" -- a symbol of planet earth -- would be "like getting a Michelin-star rating for your restaurant."

Really? From all possible terms he chose Michelin star? What's next, let them eat the cake?

I was believing that Pottinger is a some kind of evil genius that was controlling Trump, as the time flow I just believed that he's just a conman grifter instead.

This is typical is Western policies. Just give you some symbolic gesture and expect you to be fawning with gratitude over it.

Every single one of their policies of like that. They just can't break out is this mindset, hence why their failure is inevitable.
