5, The 1993 agreement specifically was against millitarizing the LAC. You can ask the same question about why China objected to Indian presence and infrastructure construction in Galwan and other areas in the Talks.

Yes. I can indeed ask. But the reality is that China has not caused Galwan clash because India built up. China however noted that India's fatal excursion into Galwan was preceeded by Infrastructure buildup.

You routinely bring this so as to draw some parallel.

You don't see China trying to conduct talks with India regarding India's buildup ( for what it's worth), do you?

China is not interested in any talks for the time being and has told India to "be happy with what has been achieved so far". I see that as China disappointing a very desperate India.

Gen Naravane confirmed there will be another round, and that talks were only postponed because of covi d. Everyone thought the same during the 5th round, when PLA refused any disengagement at pangong. We will see what happens next.

Rounds shall be there. All because India is desperate. 11 rounds is too much. And a hesitant China speaks volume about what's the reality at present.

Future, I don't know.

OH, I do remember the recalibrations article. Just that I'd like to see them zoomed in/out on a map - giving a good perspective of the things ( just like in Gogra, Hot Springs, Galwan etc).

The rounds have been effective though, considering disengagement has been at least partially done at most sectors. As a result, china withdrew behind india's perception of the LAC at Galwan, pp15, and Pangong. Even at Gogra PLA has withdrawn all but one camp. India has made it clear it is in no hurry, there have been much longer standoffs

Maybe. But as I said - it's inconsequential.

We have discussed it week ago. For the time being, in this thread, for the sake of all, let's go with Gogra.
