Yes. India as a nation with 1.3 billion people deserves its place in the world.
No-one deserves anything in this world unless they work for it, i have yet to see indians working hard to build a better india the way i see Chinese building a better China and returning to the country to make good on achieving the Chinese Dream.

I have however seen plenty of indians indulging in capital flight, embezzling funds and having the gall to take aid from China whilst bitching and bashing Chinese help.

India's economy is contracting:

and more debt will be spent to stimulate india's economy.

Right, they don't deserve shit if they remain the way they are. The rational/educated realists are too few and the cow-shit-smearing-piss-drinkers are too many, I'm utterly confident they're remain a 4th world nation regardless on how long their covid/fungus crisis lasts.

A perfect opportunity for China to slowly rack up military hardware on the border and force them to do the same, incurring their precious resources as their economy contracts. (Exactly what we did to Vietnam throughout the 1980s after the border conflict)

You'll notice that what the previous poster who i replied to, expressed what is now the infamous sense of entitlement observed amongst many indians.
Through virtue of being nothing other than being indian and 'the second largest country by population' they expect to be given xyz on a silver platter.

eg India expects to have a permanent UNSC seat because... they expect it as their divine right. And they get shitty and blame China if it doesn't happen. That's the sort of entitlement we're talking here, folks.

I think that the fact the Indian military came out to deny the rumor of a recent confrontation of a Chinese and Indian troops in Ladakh is telling of how dire the situation is in India. At the very least their military has neither the will not capability to escalate for the time being.

It seems the Pakistani economy is doing quiet well with rising export numbers, offer some good military gear to them so India has to spend on 2 borders. Then start pinging a bit in the Indian ocean so they need to either exhaust their current naval capacity or increase it.

Only viable way out that I see for India is too eat that humble pie and make peace or at least take a neutral stance with their neighbors for the next 5 decades and focus on internal growth.

Or else I would expect India to stay the "super power" that couldn't.

Too late for that, better to dismember the country and promote the Syria-nisation of the subcontinent with low level warlords, militia groups and constant infighting. Think central Africa of the 90s.
