AMCA... TEDBF... Arjun ... LCA... Nirbhay ... Astra ... Rustom ... QR/SR/MR/LR SAMs ... all years and years if not decades and decades of brochuring and delighting in the talks and plans as if they are not only ready but in service and working when they were nothing close.

Type 055 ... Type 002 ... Type 003 ... J-20 ... GJ-11 ... WZ-8 ... Spaceplanes ... HGVs ... AShBM MaRVs ... cruise missiles like DF-100 ... DF-41 ... JL-3 ... All the KJ series and assorted AEWC and EW planes ... PL-15 ... PL-20/21/xx ... HQ-19/26/29/ASAT ...

The only clues we had for Chinese ones were from leakers but there is very rarely any detailed information announced in planning. All these things were started in the 1990s to 2000s if not earlier. Not a peep and at most a test flight being leaked or some dot points on a presentation slide. At least they finish what they start and actually do it properly. The Indian side talk about it like it's already being used on Pakistan. I hear that a lot from Jai Hind internet soldiers. So when you ask about 055x sarcastically, you know the plans for it have been long finished before the first 055 reached service and before the railgun sailed out for sea trials. As for Indian programs they already talk about a 13000T warship before the dock is ready. It's at least 10 years away from hull completion. The visakputnam is just a modernised kolkata (barely modernised lol) and only one has been finished and even that one was worked on for longer than how long it took to build five 055 hulls.
But I didn't mean sarcastically.

First Kolkata taken 11 years to get indicted since its keep. Due to design and technical problems.

Second Visakhapatnam will taken 9 to get inducted since it's keel and delays were not caused due to the Shipbuilding ot the design but due to the engine and systems which have to be imported.

Now modular construction is used which reduced the time further. Most system are being indeginised. Look the previous pages to know more about it's.

QRSAM started in 2017 near deployment. Not talking about previous programme with the same name. It's totally different.

VLSRAM also approved in half of this decade near deployment.

LRSAM Development complete.

Astra deployed 50 plus delivered or being divered almost complete 250 ordered additional 250 being ordered.

Rustom 1 complete and deployed also news of deployment came.

Rustom 2 third prototype being completed.

I am not person you are talking about but always bringing its regardless even when I didn't talk or debated about it's.

Actually, India has actually become fast in some areas (atleast by Indian standards). In missiles, Of the Astra series. Astra Mark 1 is in production, Astra Mark 2 will be in trials (currently Su-30s are getting modified to carry the missile), Astra MK3 SFDR has been tested few days back, rumours of Astra MK4 are floating (at least in idrw). Same with SAM. Development time of QRSAM has been pretty low say compared to previous versions. Nirbhay was also deployed last year. One test failed because they were trying to substitute the engine with an Indian one. Now Akash NG is there too. VL-SRSAM is also tested, ditto with the Rudram family.

I am seeing a pattern here. India struggles when it makes ambitious plans right in the first iteration. But once the first version is ready, the second version doesn't takes much time.

Tejas MK1 took a long time even to be ordered , compared that to MK1A at least by Indian standards has been ordered pretty fast. Not to mention, prototype of MK2 is already bring made.

All India needs to be is to remain humble and not bite off more then it can chew.
