Good news for amateur observers.

What does it mean for PLA watching? Will we be seeing less of new developments, e.g photos of new 8x8, tanks, ships taken by civilians?

CJDBY and by extension, the amateur PLA watching community has been on decline since 2014 due to tightened security. Think about this for a second:

How many PLA aircraft photos posted on this forum were taken by amateurs vs state media in 2011 vs. 2021?

Well, according to @Temstar someone was teaching foreigners about the PLA's TOE, and TOE is an acronym for "Table of Organization and Equipment". So, assuming what Temstar said is true, yes. Also, the PLA love being extremely secretive with their stuff ranging from the most minute stuff to something like you mentioned. For example, in one of the old photos for the infantry equipment thread, they censored a FAST helmet for some reason. I can't blame them though. In the comments section of the video you linked, there were US military personal commenting how they loved the video for its relatively detailed overview of the Chinese armored brigades. So, if I were in the position of the PLA and the Chinese intelligence agencies, I would clamp down on the leakers hard regardless of the info's significance.
Do you guys think it has to do with things like this? It seems really specific to me.
Given how many mistakes the video has I doubt it even landed on the radar of the censors. Having seen some of the research involved with its creation, its sources consist mostly of random google translated Chinese blog posts and that one graphic that @KushigumoAkane made :p (the latter really seemed to carry it hard)

Also FYI your guys' speculation is being described as a "freakout" in the video creator's discord server lol

So Im kind of confused. One of the members said that Blitzo provided info for the video, yet the creator himself said that he received no help from them. Where did they get that info?

If you're talking this post, siege was joking
He got his info from Bltizo and Deino
So either Astra missed it too or he's just deliberately misconstruing :D

Technically he did use the work of a member here as a source, though the work used was created before they made an account here...

Ahhhhh. LOL, I thought he was serious and, to be honest, was surprised by that claim at that time. Sarcasm is hard to read via text lol. Also, based on the tone of what Astra said and asked, I think he is serious.

Both. The only one freaking out is him.

Nobody knows what sparked the most recent wave of censorship and I sincerely doubt that a single English-language video based on unverified blog posts is ultimately responsible if at all.

Either there is something seriously sensitive that's been leaked, or the clampdown is in preparation for something big. Like a weapon reveal or a major military operation. But I think it's more likely that someone climbed the wrong wall and started talking the wrong shit. Otherwise CD would have shut down a long time ago. But for some reason Haohan is still around?

Not just Haohan but also Dingshen. But what do those forums have in common? They don’t accept new members. Let that sink in.

It isn’t 100% sarcasm. Deino and Bltizo post articles or are interviewed by the Diplomat, Popular Mechanics, Jane’s, and other major defense publications. It is highly likely that BattleOrder has used info from them during his research.

How Astra managed to construe this as SDF mods directly leaking info to YouTube channel is... puzzling. Maybe he should work on his reading comprehension skills?

To be fair to Astra, the way you said it did sound like Blitzo and Deino directly helped Battle Order. If person A were to get info from person B, one would typically assume that person A got it from person B directly rather than indirectly.
