If I recall correctly Chow Yun Fat made a remark that he's made enough money so he doesn't care if there are consequences to his career. That was early on and I haven't heard anything from him since so did he learn to shut up?

I remember him from Replacement Killers, even in that movie his character John Lee was antiChinese and moved to America to run from big bad PLA

This was right at the beginning of the trouble back in 2019. He didn't really voiced his support for the thugs as such. He was more for 'democracy and freedom' blah blah blah. He was quickly silent and went on hiding and have not been seen since. Let say, he might have trouble finding worthwhile work involving China in the future.
I don't think he cares about work or money too much. He is worth 50 million but he still wears 5$ shirts/ pants and eat 5$ bbq rice plates.

Hanging out with my uncle Phil.

We, Hakka people always speak Hakka when we are at home in our villages. Also when i was a kid accompanying my nana to tge shops. Hakka is ridely spoken in shops and markets.

Unfortunately, with growth in population, particularly large influx of immigrants, and the building of large 'satellite' cities like sha tin. Yung long. Tsuen wan. Etc Hakka can now only be heard at home in the villages. Progress!

True, my parents, who are in their 80's plus, are probably the last proficient speaker of Hakka in our family circle. As i only ever use it when I am talking to them in WhatsApp.
Here in Ireland, it virtually either Mandarin or Cantonese that are spoken by the Chinese diaspora.

Regina Ip Lau.

I'm beginning to warm to her 'new democratic party'. She talks a lot of sense. Here she is exploding lies about Xinjing

Genocide in Xinjiang? Too loaded and detached from reality

The Economist warns against accusing China of genocide in Xinjiang. Too loaded and detached from reality. Listen to what Adrian Ho has to say about Xinjiang. Adrian has been traveling to Xinjiang for 10 years.
For a brief moment I almost thought I saw Regina Ip and "Adrian Zenz".

But I was quickly relieved that it was another Adrian: Adrian Ho. It must be my subconscious habit of linking Xinjiang and Adrian Zenz. Damn that Western MSM has had an impact.

Unfortunately, the Adrian that actually spent 10 years in Xinjiang will never be interviewed in the West. They have already chosen their Adrian. The one that should be in a mental institution.
