General Winter is beginning to take its toll.

There are a few unconfirmed rumours from Chinese media that Indian Army have already suffered 20,000 non-combat causality in Ladakh, not death but becoming combat ineffective due to cold, COVID-19, lack of winter gear, altitude sickness etc and had to be rotated out. Indians are trying to plug these holes by putting special forces from all three branches on the front line, with air force at high altitude, army and medium and navy in valleys. Critical condition troops are being air lifted to Chandigarh for treatment.

That's the equivalent 2 infantry divisions, in 2 months... if that's true... wow.

I guess the Wehrmacht-wannabes skipped over the Battle of France and went straight to Stalingrad.

There’s no easy way to deal with cold, no matter how prepared you are it’s still damn cold and dry unless you’re sitting by a fire 24/7 while batbing in vaseline.

Can’t imagine any of these Indians have the determination of our ancestors who crossed the Yalu during that winter.
