localizer, anyone can find articles about racism in a country - because there's racism everywhere. If you've got a detailed study more recent than the one I referred to earlier, please post it.

Although I'm sure HK people read the newspapers as well, so if they feel worried by racism they won't go to the UK anyway.

The British think they can make money from Hong Kongers that make their money from China. No China, no money.

Why would the rich Hong Kongers want to leave their sugar daddy?

Who said only rich HK people would go to the UK? The article I posted said up to 1 million over 5 years. There aren't 1 million rich people in HK to begin with.

There's no assumption only wealthy people would go to the UK, not least because the rich will have already sorted out residency with other countries years ago. Also I would say that most people wouldn't be all that excited about rich HK residents going to the UK because the concern is that they'd buy multiple properties and overheat the property market. The assumption is that most residents would be middle class because they won't have access to benefits for five years. Well educated with enough money to start a new life, but nothing fancy.

She left he to go to Germany, only to be sexually assaulted and now she is stuck in the middle of second wave of covid without any real means to make money nor any real means to survive if she does get the virus (assuming that she really has much value to the German government that is). Hmmmm I wonder what can go wrong also given the fact that Germany isn’t is the best state economically right now and requires Chinese investment for survival as it is. Like the typical HK protestor, they have passion but ultimately little so I wonder if the EU ends up suffering the fate of the USA in rewards to an economic crisis, will she go back to HK where he family is or will she stick with her guns and stay in Germany for the long haul. Either way, both options are not going to be that promising

Why HKers thing they're better than anyone else? I'd rather give asylum to the struggling family whose home just got bombed by US/Israeli drones.

LOL, this is fake as hell. HK passport holders can go to any nation in the EU without a visa, so why did she need to stay in a "refugee camp"?

I'm sorry to disappoint you SimaQian but the HK people moving to the UK are unlikely to face racism and from all polls are probably going to receive a warm welcome.

Almost 3 million people are eligible for the BNO passport. The settlement scheme also includes dependents of BNO passport holders, not just adults with one. So it covers the vast majority of the HK population. So I'm not sure how that's an empty gesture.

Besides, any of the adult protesters between 18 and 23 could probably get asylum in the UK, continental Europe, North America, Australasia, etc if they wanted it.
Ha, ha, The English are the most racist people i ever met. I know cos i was born there, hence my parents decided to move to Ireland in the early 80's.

Now that just takes things up a level in stupid. This must be yet another FLG agent again. Damn it, now I want Europe and the USA to collapse like those bloody recession forecasters keep on saying, just so these brain dead idiots can have a good stare at reality

Another reason why the next collapse or depression better hit these bastards hard enough so they cannot rise ever again. Since all they seem to do is bomb other countries and then demand there worship, even after they kill there friends and family
