Frontier patrol. The soldier in the foreground is carrying a QBU10 sniper/anti-materiel rifle on his shoulders.

A close-up of the same rifle.

Maybe I'm just reading too much into it, but it looks like it has some AR features combined with some AKish features and a classic WW2 service rifle look. The mag release and cocking handle location would look very familiar to AR users, but the sight position is definitely AK style. Lack of pistol grip and stock design looks like a throwback to WW2 service rifles. I'll bet the bolt carrier has a passing resemblance to AR ones, but the bolt itself might look more like an AK style. Just my guesses ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Personal Verdict: An experimental rifle with a hodgepodge of proven features from both Soviet and western designs.

It's a based on a Chinese SKS.

Here's another image of the experimental rifle with the first Chinese short-stroke system.

Wait. I reviewed the close up again, and it seems they are not the same rifle. At the very least the mag catch and charging handle should be different. The rest might be as you pointed out (based on SKS), but I think for that particular example the bolt carrier should be closer to AR-style than AK/SKS style because of the charging handle.

Looks like a hybrid between SKS, H&K and AR-15.

Military showcase at Fuerte Tiuna today.
The Venezuelan military has had a delivery of weapons from China recently. Soldiers are equipped with QBZ-97 rifles and CS/LS7 submachine guns.

Does anyone got any more pictures of the CS/LS7 in use? Such a beautiful gun but don't see it in the wild much.

Brigadier
India claims they captured Chinese weapons from Kashmiri militants.

Kindly don't labelled Kashmiri people struggle for freedom (since 7 decades - lost several thousand lives) by quoting Kashmiri militants.

I don't want to drag the thread or otherwise can show you the austerities of Indian Army....

PS: since its quoted by Indian sources, so can't trust .....
