For now it's t-90 upgrade, but many sources expect that this is increasingly likely to become mainstay of future tank force, gradually replacing freshly upgraded t-72 fleet in the future.
Armata is cool and all that, but it is apparently both too expensive and too heavy to go beyond "heavy" formations, which aren't too numerous in any case.

Interesting day today.

The 2 universal landing craft were officially laid down today, as were 2 additional Gorshkov class vessels (number 7 and 8 of the class), as well as 2 Yasen class subs (number 8 and 9 of the class).

With the laying down of additional Gorshkov class hulls, it now seems definite that the pause or slow down in construction of these vessels due to the marine gas turbine situation has now been solved.

2S43 "Malva" - new wheeled SPH by burevestnik.
Can't help but admit that I prefer PCL-181. Best is the enemy of good enough.
W/o knowledge of the requirements it's just a personal opinion, ofc.

Nice naval parade as Russia celebrates its Navy Day. What's wrong with it? Look ma, no no masks, no social distancing. Look at the crowds along the side. The crew inside the bridge. Putin without a mask, and he's not social distancing from his staff and admirals either. He even bends to whisper to the admiral next to him, probably the head of the navy. You wonder why the infection curve in Russia has rocketed.

Other than that detail, the parade itself was awesome. You can see the newly commissioned Admiral Kasatonov, the second of the Admiral Gorshkov class to enter service. Each of the Russian three main fleets conduct their naval parades simultaneously, along with St. Petersburg, there is one in Sevastopol, and another in Vladivostok.

Infection rate in Russia is drought fifth of the USA numbers, and at the same time they started the mass testing earlier and faster than the USA , UK or any other bigger than 10 million nation.

Most likely everyone in senior position in the government , and all person in close contact with them has testing daily/weekly basis.
