It's still got on the Communist red star on it.
All russians ships has the red star. So do the air force.

The Star (Pentagram) predates any communist movement and only the color red was added which is the symbolic color for communism.
Yes fortunately the star symbol did not invented by those dam' commies

Well, it would be a shame when some symbol gets stained by something shitty from the past and makes it unusable like for the instance of Swastika, which is used in many cultures.
Not the red star. Red star is communist. The Russian capitalist star has a blue.
There is a bit confusion about it.
There was the Soviet Union, that has Russia as a subordinate member state.
The targets/purposes of the Soviet Union didn't matched Russia interest.
The new flags/symbols not something like "disruption of the legacy" , but rather expressing the independence of the Russian Federation .
The star actually carry the colours of Russian flag : )
Red, white and blue is Tsarist flag. Russia returned to this flag without the Tsarist Eagle on it.
