It's not the Chinese making the threats and theatrics, when it's blatantly clear the US is the one repeatedly doing it not only against China but also against American citizens defending their rights. Saying otherwise is just fascist apologia.

Sure, US is doing that. Some US foreign policy now is undisciplined, based on laziness. But China is also showing the same deficency with its threats and theatrics.

If the US breaks relations with China as Trump has threatened, what is the US going to do if China supports Iran? Threaten economic sanctions...? I don't think the question is if will China support Iran? The question is when will China have nothing to lose?

China will never have 'nothing to lose'.

Sever diplomatic relations... US could still get into a hot war.

Get into a hot war... could still turn into a nuclear war.

Theoretically, there is no floor. Below the floor, there is always another basement.

So don't get in this mindset of 'nothing to lose.' All it leads to is nihilistic thinking, or belief that you don't have to calculate your decisions, and can wildly do anything you want.

Because in the past, China choose to throw Iran under the bus to appease US.
The talks on the deal with Iran begin since 2016 but nothing really concrete came out of it.

I'm saying until we see concrete things we can't assume China is really serious.

That's not quite right.

Note the following.
This project was brought up six years ago during the visit of Mr. Xi Jinping to Iran, but there was a delay from our end. Now I say that this project shouldn’t be delayed any further. We have to begin this project sooner rather than later.
I have told you that we were very late to sign this agreement. Because of this delay, China has gone its own way, and has concluded agreements and treaties with other countries. China reached Europe via Russia, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Georgia and Azerbaijan. We took too long to establish this partnership. During my last interview I said frankly, we should have signed this joint cooperation agreement six years ago. China had many interests (in working with Iran). We were the ones who took too long (to sign). As for them (Chinese), they secured their interests through (agreements with) other countries.

We have already debate on that but you prefer empty and rhetoric talk. It is not even about Huawei. It will end with threat and theatrical.
The only empty talk here is from you. I answer all of your posts point-to-point but look at your reply and look at my post that it replies to. What you wrote is not even a response. I asked you several times, what is your definition of "effective" PR, what it is supposed to achieve, and how you would achieve it and you have no answer. I asked what is the threat that was empty, and you have no answer. You just have useless complaints written in empty responses like this.

But in a the HW case, why should you set as a goal to make a country use it when you don't really have the power to do that and the whole country Gov don't want it?
Already explained this through your example of Japan. It's not all about using Huawei; it's about American interference like in the UK. The UK did not make the choice by itself; it was harassed by the US so China's just showing that that has consequences to trade and relations. Even if it's not the end of the world, even if things don't all go belly up, there are still limited consequences for limited actions when tolerating US interference. That's what it's about. If countries like Japan freely choose not to use Huawei, and they were never expected to as they have poor relations with China, it's no biggie at all.

I thought you said the world obeys the US blindly. If so they will follow the US into completely isolating China which is Trump's goal. That's called nothing to lose.
