I thought this is a pretty good write up addressing the thugs and their supporters, so I thought I share it here with you guys.
Reflections of a Hong Kong friend.
"Well done young democrats on winning almost all the District Council seats in Sunday’s election. I hope you appreciate the irony you achieved this through a lawful, peaceful and democratic process - the very freedoms you have, Chinese citizens do not, and the ones you and your international apologists so violently proclaimed had been stolen from you. It appears they were never stolen in the first place.
Now remember: District Councils are there to deal with the mundane but important little things that make our lives more simple and orderly in your electorate. Therefore my suggestions for your first order of business:
Fix the hundreds of traffic lights YOU smashed
Replace the miles of road railings YOU dismantled
Repair the acres of pavements YOU tore up
Dismantle the barricades YOU erected on our roads
Clean off the obscene graffiti YOU sprayed
Clean up the rubble and scorch marks from YOUR riots
Find something interesting around your feet to look at when the local police commander briefs the council on the surge in burglaries, vehicle crime, thefts and mugging because they have been too tied up dealing with YOUR lawlessness.
Sarcasm aside, this could be a catalyst for real change if, and only if, you do not mistake the voters overwhelming anti-establishment message as support for a continuance of violence and mob rule. If you make that mistake, you will undo your gains and only prove that you are incapable of reason and unworthy of further democratic freedoms.
Fingers crossed you will not squander this opportunity the voters have given you.
You have been proudly elected by the citizens. So please start cleaning up the shit that you have left behind”
