Not only that but it was a NZder that took the fruit that has since renamed Kiwifruit from China.and later on there was a huge outcry when Chinese scientists pinched a apple cutting from a research station.

The fruit was originally called Chinese Gooseberry, but the Americans did not want the Chinese name attached to it, so it was renamed Kiwifruit.

American? ... NZ is not part of the US. Didn't you know that ? :(

Excuse me, what can the Chinese scientist do with an apple cutting other than eating it?

A 'cutting' is a small piece of pruned tree branch that has buds on it.
The idea is to graft the buds onto other root stock and presto you then have specimens of the newly developed apple variety.
.NZ is a world leader pf.apple varities.
We have also bred a red fleashed variety of kiwifuit which some other Kiwifruit growing.countries wouldnt mind getting their hands on.

Okay then. My idea of apple cutting was the cutting of the apple fruit itself. Lol.

That is stealing since it takes enormous time and effort as well as knowledge with a great amount of trial and error to successfully cross breed to make a better variety.
Taking a sample and smuggle it into another place to make a copy is a crime.

I live in NZ. A few yrs ago you translated a comment made by a mainlander passing through while on holiday.
As others have mentioned, the trick is, to flash the phone if its a Chinese phone made for the domestic market. However, earlier than that, I was given a 2/3g Chinese made phone.I think it was called Songbird or something like that. I do not know if the retailer in China reset it for the NZ because it worked well straight out of the box.

Anyway, I was hoping you may have an opinion on HMS Core. Is it still too early to think something might come from it?

If you're set on Huawei Phone. Perhaps you can refer to Huawei's NZ specific phone offerings. Included below is link with the spec to check with your carrier.

Eh, gray area. If we're gonna be strict, everything's a crime. Taking Chinese Kiwi to New Zealand is a crime. British stealing Chinese tea is a crime. Japanese stealing Chinese pottery techniques is a crime. Making paper, gunpowder, compass, etc... are all crimes unless you pay China. When you buy a coloring book but have 4 kids so you copy a page 4 times for each to have something to color, that's a crime. When you pass a test then give your friend tips to pass it too, that's crime. When you buy something then figure it's simple enough to make the next one yourself, it's a crime. When you make a mix tape, that's a crime. Download a free game or watch a free movie and it's a crime. Don't be a prick about "crimes." If you're gonna complain about things like that, then either protect your IP better or don't make things that are easily copied.
