Hong-Kong Protests

You are overestimating the demographic size and influence of the US far right. The US military is also definitely not that dominated by the far right otherwise both the US and the world would be in much worse shape.
I didn't mention anything about the size of the demography. I just mentioned what the demography was.

US military servicemen of certain demographic are in fact dominated by Far Right ideologies. The difference is that the partisan thought may not extend all the way upto the top of the hierarchy OR IS subdued and neutered as the final decisions are taken by the Congress.
I reiterate as well list some other things I think -
1. A huge portion of Military servicemen are from well to-do middle class and even upper middle class families. They are led by Alpha-male-culture who sees the military service as a rite of passage and a badge of honor. They are also guided by patriotism.
2.The least partisan ones fights for the "Constitution".
3. Hispanic people are increasingly filling up numbers in the military.
4. Most of the military servicemen are Pro-Reagan (lately Pro-Trump), Pro-NRA, Non Hispanic while males.
5. Do read up how the name " Eddie Gallagher" is perceived within the US military ranks and how this name can incite discussions within the community.
6. Military Culture is different but related to US culture(s).
7. Race relations are improving day by day in the military. Problems were severe half a century ago and there was heavy segregation (like in civilian life)BUT now it is isn't. Of course, African origin military men have developed their own sub-culture that has tales of Tuskegee Airmen, Unionists vs Confederates fights etc to offer buoyancy and support. (They cheered for Obama)
To sum up - US military is dominated by Right wing. Whether it is far-right or not needs survey.

I dunno about that either. The CCP has much much greater support in China than the GOP has support in the USA. Hong Kong is such a low-hanging fruit that it's basically already rotting on the ground from an identity crisis and several other mental problems left behind by the British. Even though it is technically true, in spirit, it is wrong to believe that American propaganda is so superior that it turned a city of Chinese people against China. Those people were already badly infected with the wrong ideas to begin with starting from many decades ago. Despite their ethnicity, it is China that begins fighting the uphill battle here and China will ultimately make the city just like any other Chinese city. Today, many Hong Kongers who used to be moderately pro-democracy are looking to Beijing after seeing what democratic ideas make people do in Hong Kong.

Many pro-democracy HKers who have always looked to Beijing continue to do so and others who didn't now realize democracy with Chinese characteristics is better for themselves and HK as a whole than anti-China fake democracy.

The West holds a virtual monopoly on propaganda platforms. Google, Facebook, Twitter, these are all American corporations. Look at what happened to pro-Chinese activity on these platforms. These are not neutral service providers, not by a long shot!

"Improving their game" will not help when you are still playing in your rival's house, when they can shut you down whenever they like.

The only way for China to push back is to build its own platforms.

In the long run maybe China can rely on it's own platforms. But for now they better figure out what is hitting them and how, I feel like their intelligence people are sleeping on their job, at the very least will someone trace the god damned money? Find out how the funding flows and if any of the local big monies are involved (which I have huge suspicion on), hit them in the nerve center, hit them in the money, CCP have got to have some asset in Hong Kong they can use if they figure out who to use it against.
It is no use to go after rioters now (jail them if they break the law but that's about it), they are just grunts.

Rick would want me to comment beyond saying it's interesting, but what should I say when I don't have a smartphone (really):
Apple slammed for approving app that allegedly helps HK rioters

The pro-government side needs to play the mirror game more. Use the same app to mark rioters, their routes, and their hideouts, or put out a mirror app to do so. Instead of taking down anti-government "Lennon walls" put up pro-government "Lennon walls", etc.

At this point I already know what democracy would look like in Hong Kong if it took place. I don't like that picture one bit.

If you are implying you are seeing democracy in action in HK right now then you are mistaken, I am pointing out as had many other posters that the HK rioters and conspirators screaming the mantra of "democracy" aren't democratic at all but rather other HKers are.

Maybe I should have put quotation mark on the word "democracy"

How do you know they haven't? Just because they have not taken any action so far does not mean they are not keeping an eye on things.

Well "so far" is pretty far, this whole thing have been brewing for better half of a year, no action (at least sensible ones) have been taken then it is safe to say someone dropped the ball. Wish I am wrong though, maybe CCP have some trick up their sleeve, I'd tell them to hurry the fuck up if that's the case.
