Why maritime strike? Isn't this just the regular YJ-91 ARM and as such it is SEAD?

A military exhibit in Yinchuan recently received a J-10S as a new exhibit. This goes to show that twin-seaters were heavily used due to a low number of advanced trainers in the early 2000s.

I have a very old photo of #10132, dated way back to 2010. Could they be the same one? Paint work looks different and engine is obviously a mock up.

It carries one YJ-91 for SEAD.Besides,it also carries one PL-12( under the right wing),it is relatively rare to see such a dual purpose paload on a PLAAF jet.

J-10C from Southern Theater Red Eagle Brigade and KJ-500 in Udorn Thailand, participating joint Sino-Thai exercise
Falcon Strike 2019.TAF Griffin and Erieye would be their opposite.

J10C+KJ500 VS JAS39C+Erieye, how exciting.

Carrying AAMs for self defence is hardly dual role in my book.

Besides, the PL12 has a passive homing operational mode, so it could potentially double up as a ARM in the SEAD role should the need arise.

What does it says?
That the J-10A performance against the JAS-39 Gripen (which the post did not deign to provide the serial number as to make the lives of people who are not familiar with how the Chinese translate English sounding names easier) in the subsequent 2017-2018 air exercise with Thailand had increased and also lays the theory that the Thai pilots did not push the Gripen to its full capability during both exercises in order to not fully disclose NATO training doctrines and/or technical capabilities.
