Tension escalates as China summons US ambassador over military sanctions
"Beijing also recalled naval chief from US and postponed a three-day bilateral military dialogue in Beijing in order to protest sanctions imposed over purchase of Russian military equipment" etc.:

Why China seems so upset over military sanctions? what actually China would lose? Did China buy any military hardware from the US recently?

No sane country leaders would buy any military weapons from the US right now .. very unpredictable from Trump and also very expensive, even they maybe super advanced

The admiral has been recalled but the Chinese ambassador to the US has most definitely NOT been recalled. Recalling an ambassador is usually one of the final steps prior to military hostilities.

Except that in overwhelming of cases, military hostilities do not happen.

Correct, due to de-escalation by one or both parties. This does not change the fact that pulling your ambassador out of the country is in fact one of the last things you do before war.

well what's happened was

"Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Zheng Zeguang summoned Ambassador Terry Branstad to lodge “stern representations”, the foreign ministry said."

which is unrelated to a hypothetical situation you mentioned, but since you did ...

Recalling an ambassador is usually one of the final steps prior to military hostilities.
from what I figured, there're multiple reasons for "recalling an ambassador" for example:
  1. s/he would be sent to be an ambassador elsewhere, or was simply fired LOL
  2. given him/her some specific instructions
  3. (the reason you probably meant) when s/he "is not expected to return" (the embassy is going to be closed etc.)
  4. just to make a political statement

I don't know what is the logic or legality to extend domestic law to sovereign country? That is contrary to logic and Westphalian principle that govern the relation between countries since ages. China cancel military talk
Yes China has to respond vigorously even if it is only symbolic because of the principle involve

SHANGHAI/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - China summoned the U.S. ambassador in Beijing and postponed joint military talks in protest against a U.S. decision to sanction a Chinese military agency and its director for buying Russian fighter jets and a surface-to-air missile system.

Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Zheng Zeguang summoned Ambassador Terry Branstad to lodge "stern representations", the foreign ministry said.

China's Defence Ministry said in a statement it would recall navy chief Shen Jinlong from a visit to the United States and postpone planned talks in Beijing between Chinese and U.S. military officials that had been set for next week.

It added that China's military reserved the right to take further countermeasures, without giving further details.

Ministry spokesman Wu Qian said China's decision to buy fighter jets and missile systems from Russia was a normal act of cooperation between sovereign countries, and the United States had "no right to interfere".

On Thursday, the U.S. State Department imposed sanctions on China's Equipment Development Department (EED), the branch of the military responsible for weapons procurement, after it engaged in "significant transactions" with Rosoboronexport, Russia's main arms exporter.

The sanctions are related to China's purchase of 10 SU-35 combat aircraft in 2017 and S-400 surface-to-air missile system-related equipment in 2018, the State Department said.

A bevy of new rumors have been posted by FZGFZY, which I have posted in the appropriate threads.

This particular one pertains to the PLAN in general:
这样算起来,"大多数基本重合了",航妈4+,当时055有12的料基本稳了。52D/E起码30+
Translation: "4+ aircraft carriers, materials for 12 Type 055s, at least 30+ Type 052D/Es"

Follow-up comments:

Q: 航母本来说的就是6+…
FZGFZY: 先说已确定的而己
Q: "It was originally said that there would be 6+ aircraft carriers."
FZGFZY: "Let's just say that it has already been determined."

Q: 火车首批到底是不是8条呢

FZGFZY: 8条是我很多年前爆的老数据了,至少12+,不会太多,是因为还有55A
Q: "Does the first batch consist of eight Type 055s?"
FZGFZY: "Eight is the figure that I stated many years ago (is now outdated). There are at least 12+, not too much since there is still the Type 055A."
