didn't know about a Dongdiao-class part:
China Sent Uninvited Spy Ship to Russian Vostok 2018 Exercise Alongside Troops, Tanks

Author is "USNI". hmm. I am confused. How could a US news outlet knew and tell something between Russia and China? USNI must spied on the Russians in the first place to be able to know such thing of "uninvited".

Then I went through the whole article. It is only an assertion by the author in the first paragraph of "uninvited ship", then in third paragraph "unclear if PLA ship was invited", then in the last paragraph "uncommon to spy on ally". The whole article is "I think it is uninvited, based on that, it is bad between Russia and China". It is the typical fabricated news, using the modern term, FAKE news. And one of the many "drive a wedge between Russia and China" tricks since 2008 when Obama tried and failed to "reset" US-Russian relationship.

It is a total bull shitting piece of crap. Of course it is not surprising at all because this is the same source of that "authoritive" nuclear submarine noise level chart?!

Total garbage news. If true, why would China do something relatively obvious to Russian observers if even the US spying from further away, could tell? Surely the Russians would be able to see as well because they're not incompetent. Then surely the Chinese are asking for trouble because their ship would be picked up by the Russians? Therefore IF this ship was there collecting data, the Russians would have known and it is reasonable to assume they have given the Chinese the okay otherwise it is too much of a gamble for China to risk relations while there's really nothing to gain (folks who don't know should learn what these ships are actually built primarily for). They are participating in the exercise as a MAJOR partner. Why tf would they even need a data collecting spy ship?? They know everything about the exercise more intimately from being a part of it on the ground.

Braindead article. A child has the cognitive skills to see through the garbage. American disinfo needs to up its game in this case. But then again its targeted audience are intellectually lesser than children. The smarter readers can all smell the smell after the first two paragraphs.

:
"What’s strange about the Chinese ship monitoring RIMPAC from afar is four PLAN ships and their crews have already been included in most levels of the operation."

the point would be 'oops, they did it again' LOL

He's also getting pulled out of US right now as a response to the sanction.
The world has just got a little more dangerous, when nations stop trading and its military does not communicate, the likely hood of misunderstanding can lead to a powder keg scenario that can easily backfire for everyone.
